I still smash out the first 2 albums in the car. I can't believe it's been 19 years since 'Has is come to this?' was released. I still remember when the song 'same old thing' came out. It got so much air time and completely changed the UK garage and Grime scene.

Mr Skinner is a lyrical genius on Original Pirate Material!! Definitely one of my favourite albums of all time! Pure magical, clever poets spitting raw, relatable lyrics and producing beats that you can't help but vibe with... The Streets are born with music in their blood! Love it! 🙌🏼💖🎶🎉💃

I appreciate that they perform the sampled vocals as live vocals instead. The instruments too. It's so much cooler than the typical rappers that just play to backing tracks.

One of my favourites of all time. The UK should be proud. They have their own sound. This really got me into other more alternative British poets/mcs like Loyle Carner, Tricky, Maxi Jazz, Ghostpoet, Allflaws

Quality. Original Pirate Material was an album that I loved as a 14 year old, at the same time my 21 year old cousin loved it, and my 44 year old Dad loved it. Quality.
