A strong identity is planned strategically, and built one collection at a time. It's unrealistic to expect a new designer to present a fully fleshed out design language in their debut -- it can happen but it's rare. It's more about glimpses of elements that will be developed with each fashion season. I liked this collection because it felt fresh, as one of your viewers pointed out. Sabato is getting there, and he just needs to be given the time and space to let his vision unfold and evolve. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Where was the freshness ? To me , his work feels like a mish mash of the work of several brands

From the first (and second) glance I did not understand this collection… I was not fond of previous collections, it seemed to me as zara-like trivial clothes, super commercial, lacking design language and vision, and all previous ones were kind of linear. This though feels as completely different move, which confused me, what is he doing, who is that for, and styling to me felt off… mess. And yes, no design language… idk

Great collection I do like this direction for Gucci a lot. But since the reason they hired Sabato is for more sales & customers and I don’t think he is going to expand their customer base more than Alessandro already did. Good work tho and very refreshing to see Gucci with almost no logos

Gucci need to refurbish their stores to align with the new Sabato vibe. Walking into a Gucci store recently felt like the "old" Gucci aesthetic which makes one question whether there is still old merchandise they are trying to get rid of. You really need to search for the new merchandise.

I like it. It’s fun. Especially Look 37 which I would wear, head-to-toe. That Merlot-red smock camp shirt with the deep side pockets is really good. The scuba shoe is on fire, as is the subtle logo branding seen throughout the collection🔥

You really need for any collection to see the pieces individually. You can't judge based on the exit on the catwalk, because that's styling and the way the model looks. So look at Vogue runway and try and decipher what you're seeing. I liked more of it when I looked at the stills, rather than the show itself. More wearable.

Not just the color but also the styling, the prints give Prada vibes. As a Gucci fan I don’t like this collection at all. If sales continue to go down we may see a new creative director soon. Sabato is very talented but his aesthetic is not a good fit for Gucci.

Not at all. It’s just not sleekly opulentl enough. It doesn't have to be maximalism but it has tonve covetable. His aesthetic isn't really one at all, he either doesn't have a point of view or he has one that isn't translating at Gucci.
