1 Fuji apple (these work the best!)
Cut apple in half. Placing it skin side up; make slices ½ inch deep (try not to cut all the way through the apple) all the way around the apple. About ¼ inch apart. Once you have made all your cuts, place them in a parchment paper lined pan.
Melt 1 tbsp. butter and lightly coat those baby's up! Then top with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar!
Bake for 10-12 min at 400°F
While those bake make your Crumble Topping:
1.5 tbs melted butter
2 tbs brown sugar or maple syrup
2 tbs flour
3 tbs old fashioned oats
1 tsp vanilla
Take your apples our of the oven and top with the crumble (make sure to slightly push the crumble into the slits you made) Throw them back in the oven until crumble starts to brown! About 8-10 minutes!
Top with low calorie ice cream (optional: salted caramel!!)
