This is beautiful, Wil. And I feel for you - dogs are the best of us. That statement by Chief Crowfoot is powerful - I just shared it with my kids. You helped inspire me to buy the X2D, which I did a few weeks ago (love it). Your shots are are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks, mate. PS. That little guy at the end is adorable! New member of the family...?

Thank you very much for the kind words & compliment. Congrats on your new X2D, enjoy it in good health. My pups name is Luna, she's 9 years old now. But, at 2.2kgs I still consider her a puppy. They really are the best of us. Thank you again for the thoughtful comment.

I did switch to Fuji once that hfx100ii was announced. Then went right back to hb. Ive got a video "gfx100ii vs x2d" going into details. Fuji looks good on paper, HB wins in image quality. And that's what matters most to me. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment

This is my 5th X2D body. I tried 3 used and 2 new. I have no shame in returning a $8,200 camera if it's defective. I don't know where you live but b&h has been great at accepting returns.

I can do a quick review right here, if you're talking about the X1D Mark II. I like the feel of the X1D body better, but the lenses seem to focus slower on that body. Also the flip screen and image stabilization has been a huge help on the newer model. If you're just doing landscapes/still life you could probably save a lot and get the X1D Mark II. If the X2D is in your budget, I'd just get that and start torturing myself over lens options.

@@WILMORENO last question. What about colour science and image quality difference?
@WILMORENO
2 ай бұрын
@@ozzozz3529 color science is the same, image quality is right on par as well. Of course you get more cropping room with 100 megapixels. But with in body image stabilization, you stand the chance to get more keeper images handheld. Also the X2D has PDAF which works slightly better with the new lenses. There’s rumors of a continuous autofocus firmware update. If that is a new firmware update, the new lenses will be pretty nice to have. Also I forgot to mention, the face tracking on X2D is incredibly nice. It’s not a feature the X1DII has. So if you like to shoot portraits, just get the x2d. From all im seeing, the older XCD lenses have a tendency for better image quality, especially at the edges of the frame. It’s the price you pay for a smaller, lighter lens. I’ve tried the 35-75 28, 38, 55, 65, 80 & 120. While not doing any scientific tests. I did find that I always preferred the older xcd lenses image quality. But I almost broke my back carrying that zoom around Hawaii lol. It’s splitting hairs, but if you want the absolute best image quality I think the X2D with the older lenses is the way to go. But either camera with any of these Hasselblad lenses will give you great results. It’s just about that extra 5-10% Currently I’ve gotten rid of all my lenses except the 65. It focuses as fast as the new lenses from what I remember. In my own opinion the 65 and zoom renders the best quality images from everything I’ve tested. I’m going to test the 30 out next, I believe that could be my kit. The 65 and 30. Also interested in that 25 but I got a feeling the 30 is the way to go. Good luck! -WM

Sorry for your loss and looking forward to more of your videos. Subscribed! I am really enjoying my X2D- I went with the 38v and 55v lens, though almost went with the telephoto. Do you find handheld with that lens is a challenge or the weight makes it hard to everyday travel with?
@WILMORENO
5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and the sub! With the grip/armor/zoom lens; my X2D weighs right under 6 lbs. I've gotten used to it but people definitely comment on how heavy the camera is if they hold it. The hike definitely hurt my back but I believe it was mostly from a poor fitting backpack. Anytime I traveled with primes, I always felt like I had the wrong lens on the camera. So I'd spent a lot of time swapping/second guessing. And I really don't want to expose this giant sensor to the elements. I had the 38 and 55. The 55 looked so good on the camera, and the 38 would be my go to lens if just 1 prime. But sometimes I needed just a little more in the frame. The zoom is really a hell of a lens.
