I literally just rewatched this episode. It's one of my favorites. Great cast and thought-provoking.

Would Blue think that anonymously killing Garett is Justice? I would think she’d want to haul him in to be prosecuted. The ending is so unsatisfying.

She's trying to save her boss Karin by tracking down Garrett ... (Karin was fast becoming a bee target too as she was on her way to becoming publicly hated too due to the public hearing ) I don't think killing the mastermind would stop the bees as the programming is already set in place, but arresting him would at least increase the chance of convincing him to stop the program ... and also there are other ways of destroying the bees, such as luring them to a cargo container to be trapped and incinerated .... The open ending is probably a way to pay homage to Silence of the Lambs where the "villain" escapes to a foreign land but this time the police woman is hot on his trail ..... Personally it would be satisfying for her to succeed in arresting him .... but I guess an opening ending would be more thought provoking after viewing ....

The more people misuse the term "far right" the more it becomes contextually meaningless. There will no longer be a term that is useful to describe minimalist government involvement in the lives of free people.

This is a cool premise and I did enjoy it for what it was.. entertainment. But some parts were frustrating. When they took the girl to a “safe location” a motorcycle helmet could’ve saved her life lol.. or a bee keeper suit.. or a bomb shelter, but not an old country house when these things are clearly tracking her. Also it killed her in seconds yet the first women who clearly loved herself chooses to gouges her own throat out? Surly letting the bee take you out is a better option. All that said I think the four main cop characters had great chemistry and would’ve made for a good futuristic cop drama à la Fringe

I was thinking the same ... why not put her in a biker helmet .... also, since the bees would gather on a target's location, why not lead them into a cargo container and trap them inside to be brought to the incinerator ... But still, its a great thriller episode and a thought provoking theme ....

Exactly. I really loved this episode, but it had this one major plot hole. They know the bees crawled into the first two victims' heads. They tell the third victim on the phone to shut any windows, but why don't they tell her to basically cover all her orifices and to watch out for insects? Why do they later literally watch the bee crawl into her nose, but no one does anything about it??? She should be there with her ears taped shut, her nose blocked, and breathing through a piece of gauze or something. Or they should equip her with a gas mask, at least to buy time until the problem is solved. As for the other issue you mention, this did not bother me that much, because it's possible that the first two bees crawled into this pain area of the brain that they mention, but the third bee could have targeted a different area.

@@xxy9530 But they don't! The bee was pulled out of the second victim's head by the extremely strong magnet during CT. And it was dead.

One of the best short stories in any format . Garett was a supervillain who got away . The episode showed the hypocrisy of the people . Anonymously wishing death on someone is worse than an unpopular opinion or bad manners . The episode showed how the government takes tech made with pure intentions and corrupts .

The craziest/saddest part of the ending result was that even those that didn't really want their use of the hashtag towards a popular vote for someone's death but wanted to express their hate/dislike towards someone or something, they were also targeted for death by simply using the hashtag. Like the male assistant in the investigation that, at last minute, wrote death to Garrett. You can be sure no one but those investigating knew the evil Garrett was doing but the hashtag did not discriminate one vote from 10s, 100s, or 1000s.
