In regards to his lyrics, Kyo has said in interviews before that he wants to show humanity how messed up they are. Whether it be war, bombs dropping, nations testing chemicals on each other... Or even the more interpersonal elements like causing harm and isolation to those different from you. He approaches his writing in a very visceral, yet poetic way.

Those are very common themes in Kyo's lyrics actually. Some things are lost in translation often, but this song gives me exact same vibe as "ware, yami tote" does, also worth checking, though it's way more calm. Really appreciate your dir en grey journey, makes me revisit bittersweet old times

So cool, diabolos is one of my favourite songs, if you are open to suggestions schadenfreude from their latest record phalaris already has a live version on youtube

Schadenfreude is their most similar song to Diabolos and Vinushka (still different but in terms of progressing between phases in a 10 minute song they're similar) but the performance from the live is spot on and the lyrics really tap into the philosophical stuff @inscription seemed to enjoy here. The lyrics on Phalaris in general I think are really good at that.

Great reaction, thank you! I love that you touched upon the lyrics, I always love to hear other peoples' interpretations of the message And I'm glad you enjoyed it :) My recommendation can repeat others but I will name two songs. If you will be in a sentimental mood, the slower Namamekashiki ansoku, tamerai ni hohoemi is a great choice to go with. I find it to be one of my favorite ballads of all time. If you want to continue with more complex, almost act-like music, then The World of Mercy is to look for. I will say it's not an easy one to digest but very rewarding for those who try and listen to it openmindedly I will also humbly leave a request for my favorite j-rock band that I've been listening to for more than a decade. I think it might be up your alley. The Gazette - Ominous is translated by Kaya and you can enjoy both amazing live performance and the lyrics. They are written by their vocalist Ruki and I love them
