I'm 75, and I watched it every week. Along with Gunsmoke, Cheyenne, Wagon Train, Bonanza and all the rest of the great westerns and played with GUNS !! I STILL HAVEN'T RUN AROUND SHOOTING PEOPLE !!

Me too, I used a push mower until my ma helped me save enough green stamps or blue chip stamps to get my first gas powered mower, those stamps were great, I got my baseball mitts and basketballs and other sports gear that way too. @@mtman2 Agreed, I was only vaguely aware of her directing work, but it is stellar, including the first noir film directed by a woman: a based on true crime thriller, the Hitch-hiker. On TV everything from Twilight Zone to Bewitched -- by way of the Untouchables and Gilligan'ts Island. Truly a Pop Cukture Renaissance woman!

Looking back, I think Richard Boone was under-appreciated. Studied at the Actors Studio in NYC on the GI bill. He died young from throat cancer.

This is a 1959 episode, and I was 3 years old that year. That is when my mom and I started to watch a lot of the TV westerns. Of all of the TV westerns 'Have Gun Will Travel' was my all time favorite to this very day. My second favorite TV western was 'The High Chapparal' that I believe was first aired in 1966 or 1967. Reel Classics, is it possible that you can upload all the seasons and episodes of 'Have Gun will Travel?' At one time someone did but they are longer on KZitem. I guess KZitem removed them because of copyrights.

At around 14:00, after he beat up that guy who was twice as big as him, he left his gun on the chair. Pretty dumb it seems. No? But I guess they had to have a reason for the babe to go to his room.

Richard Boone was such a pathetic actor. Too bad Randy Scott turned down the Palidin role and too bad John Dehner only had the radio role. Dehner was a way better voice of Paladin, and he would have been exponentially better in the TV role. Dehner was a far better actor than Boone.

@@audreyricci6383 Richard Boone was cast (incorrectly in my opinion) as Palidin in the HGWT television series. Dehner, a much better actor, played the Palidin role in the HGWT radio series. All exactly as I represented. Where am I wrong - please provide your interpretation. Your statement is only half correct and is half incorrect. My statement is 100% correct, unless you can present evidence to the contrary.

I disagree. Boone played the role of a cultured gentleman who could rough it with the best of men. He was always on the side of the law as his preference and got down and dirty only when necessary. I do like the other actors you mentioned, they have had some excellent acting roles but I do not believe either of them could have played Paladin as well as Richard Boone.
