Thank you for your through explanation. Assumptions, can easily be formed. Without prior knowledge of a particular subject matter. Our hair, and the status it exhibits. May not require the use of a hand, or any other implement, to bound, or form an outcome. That may baffle the uninitiated. I too exhibit the same amalgamation, at the ends of my loc’s. And I too have a barren top. Devoid of any remnants. Or forthcoming loc’s. Our familiarities, are rather remarkable! And yet, our hair has the capacity to engage even the most curious, of observers. Whilst we proudly allow this hair to speak, unspoken words. And numerous, unconcealed glances. May become an intrusive burden.

Your very humble person, because I don't myself think you need to explain. We are different race but me being me, your hair, that's just what it can do on it's own! I was laughing out loud, no disrespect, but any new locs the bigger ones are like, you just gonna join us...lol. Great video. They are beautiful. Coming from N.C.

Your crown is looking very beautiful. I’ve been following you since your locs were smaller sections. The smaller stands of hair married together and formed larger locs. I do understand because I’ve seen someone who was “natty” but had manicured locs when I went through their old videos.

I had the same , Reason they have fingers is the hair was shorter on my head when locks were started. My blunt ends , when I had those... We're formed when my hair was longer. Shorter hair / about six inches can't lock into two giant locks on the side of your head. It just doesn't have the reach ... So the shorter locks form the fingers at the end when you continue to freeform from there.

it's obvious that your hair wasn't twisted when they started out that way, only to form into what they've become...freeform are just like a tree and in a tree, branches appear from the roots. 🙂

Great video...keep up the good work.. I do have a question ...What do you do when your locs get thin ..or fall out?.. sometimes our locs get weak... Do you let them shed and fall off ?..or do anything to "save" them? Thx Peace

Just let them fall out, sometimes I sleep on my locs and I guess they get pulled and some of the tips get pulled and come off.

What's up brother, yea I'm subscribed, and I watch your videos. I got a real one for ya. In my situation, I started growing my hair the same length at a very low haircut level. Military style cut til now. My hair is matting on the sides of my head to the scalp. Is this okay? My hair is a decent length from the stray hairs around my head. However, I can't see length on the sides because of matting. Not the entire side but right at the front of the face where you get a line up from a barber. I am 7 months into the journey, so should I be concerned? Is matting that occurs at the scalp a good or bad thing? I hear a lot of people mention the importance of hitting the roots of the hair when you wash it. However, freeforming, I don't want to alter the direction of the hair. One more thing: What is your perspective on wearing a tam? Can this offset the direction that the hair is trying to grow, or will the Tam help with the matting and the locing process?

Ok if I'm understanding you correctly it reads like you're freeforming and your hair is very matted down? If so then it's OK to hand pick your hair out a bit, you don't have to not touch your hair. Get it to where YOU like it and are comfortable with it. I promise you you won't alter anything all that much. My perspective on tams is they're cool, I wear one from time to time so no, wearing a tam does nothing to the direction of your hair. Nor will it help, you'd just be wearing a tam. Your hair will do what it will do.

I have 2 questions! I’m heading into my 4th month of freeforming and I been using a sponge for a couple days. I don’t wanna manipulate my Freeforms because I don’t want semi’s, so is using a sponge manipulation? And also I’ve always struggled with dandruff and scratching it out results to me having a fro which can mess up my progress. So how can I get rid of my dandruff while freeforming? Thanks!
@JohnnyTheDred

Yes using the sponge is manipulation, just wash your hand in a circular motion with your hand. Yes just get a good dandruff shampoo

You used to have three big dreadlocks now I see you got two big dreadlocks one on the side and one in the back how did that happen???

Thought I responded to this my bad. Most of it is the natural matting of the hair, some of it is when I lay down I split the locs to each side so I'm not laying on em so the two on the right combined.
