thx man just wanna say that all you hear in this video is worth of your time. Last year ive recovered from a 7 year anxiety panic attack, gut issues and severe heart palpitations, and all started with : visualisations, giving time and space to me and what i love , gentle movement and plenty of self care and rest. All i can say is ,im not 100% but my symptons, that used to me make do not leave home, live in a perpetuate state of fear , did not bother me anymore, and im beyond happy.I watched a ton of recovery videos and when they say " anxiety made me value my life" all i could remember was the worst time of my life, but looking back i was o my way to self destruction, at a bullet speed, now i can value myself,my time and what and who i love and are worth of my energy. At the end of it all, i didnt had anything wrong with, on the contrary, my body was working hard to tell me that i wasnt gonna last if id continued to go the way i was. I was through some dark sh1t,but im out of the other way. This is truly a life transforming disease , and if all you can say to yourself is " all i want is go back to 'normal'" when your normal is a highway straight to a giant wall, then you need to leave your normal behind and work on a "new" you. Please, hear me, it is not easy, i cant count all the times doubt took over all my mind, but ive persevered and now im on the otherside. Dont give up,it is tough i know, nobody know what you are going through ,even the doctors are clueless, but im here to reassure you that it is possible to heal, not on your time, but on your body's time. When you break a bone, do you make a dead end to it heal? no, so why do you make a dead end to your anxiety/symptoms? PS: the music thing is total true! i can remember being totally uplift from a bad vibe just from listening to a good feeling song! If you are on this video, you are on the right path and i know you gonna make it! YOU GOT THIS! Never let anything make you doubt that!

This is fascinating man.. when I was at my worst, I realized my toxic work environment and some other major stressors would make it impossible for me to recover. I quit my job and left the country to simply be in a place where I could just rest. Even then, I needed to change my mindset. The biggest change was realizing I could either start believing in my ability to get better or... a certain alternative that I did not want to explore. I chose to believe in my ability to get better. I ditched the news, social media, etc. Got my diet straightened out, found a way to relax, started doing acupuncture, etc. I was good for a while and ended up crashing. Looks like I'm seeing the other side of it after a rough couple of months but again.. having good things going on, getting out of the house and not obsessing over being sick are major, major components to recovery.

Absolutely it's hard. This was my biggest struggle. I had all the reasons in the world to feel FEAR. So how do you train yourself to feel JOY despite all the evidence around you of FEAR? First by understanding that you choose what to perceive around you. There is good and bad around you. YOU choose what to FOCUS on. I did not put any attention in the bad, even my symptoms. Its more complicated then this but thats the surface understanding of it.

Ho w about if I'm critical to my self ? I don't open the news. For years and years. My stress is inside me. My stress is my self and my one life I have I'm stressed I have is from all things long COVID. If I feel better I'm so happy and normal. I have children. And the don't care if I'm not feeling well. Im responsible. So it's really easy to say. Just do what you can. My kids need to eat. I'm facing this situation every minute. Kids can't accept me letting go .... So it's not easy.. It's def not easy. It's extremely hard! not fun. sadly these are the cards life gave you. life is extremely unfair and hard. But here we are. You have a few choices you can make. First you need to grieve your old life. the rest is understanding LC and doing the exercises. People take different times to grieve. The faster you grieve and accept your current state the faster you can heal.

He is the Creator and he knows what is best for me. He wakes me up every morning and helps me breathe at every moment Which means that he knows what is going on every second He sees me And hears my struggles I need to grieve like you said Let go of the past I learned to accept today Every moment To be humble Not lose hope And just let go. @@Roberto-Escobar Hi Rob my top 3 : 1) The breathing exercises and listening to Disney music DAILY. It calmed the brain and the days I didn’t do it symptoms/fatigue could be worse or brought back on the next day. 2) Pacing because if I did the back to back activities that caused the most exertion and subsequent stress all symptoms would return the following day. If I dropped obligations, spread out activities or decreased my fitness if I had gone overboard symptoms began to go away for a few days .. 3) Acceptance of being sick for awhile and changing expectations for functioning to get more rest and to pace myself. You advised this and it was so true. If you fought it more stress would occur and all symptoms would return. Also good nutrition is important but that goes without saying. I think my yoga too helped as it incorporated much of the same breathing you recommended and the poses can affect our nervous system in positive ways. Keep up the great work!

Жыл бұрын
I had the temp issue. My whole body would go from hot to cold in a matter of seconds. It was soo annoying. I dunno the exact reason, but I know that when the nervous system is over active, it stimulates the hormonal system and you release all these different hormones chronically and cause these weird symptoms. That’s why when u get tested physically nothing can be seen is wrong. Sometimes your inflammatory markers might be high for some and not for others. But rest assured it’s because of the nervous system being over active.

Thank you for taking the trouble to make this video. It really 'clicked' big time with me, you and I seem to have exactly the same characteristics as well as similar childhood. Almost a carbon copy it was quite amazing. My husband and I have had long covid since March 2020, we DID work out ourselves that stress made the symptoms worse. We don't know anyone else who has it like we do, but we are known for being high performers, work wise, and we tend to be the people others turn to for support, which we have always loved doing, but we now are learning that we do push ourselves and ignore our own stress to help others, and that we can't keep doing this anymore. A strange reality but as you say, its just a more aware thoughtful process you need to adopt, to take care of yourself first, and to stop ignoring your own symptoms. Thank you for helping us, amazing video. xx

You will have to learn to change your life completely, and that can be scary. But it's worth the leap. Don't fight for your old life, first imagine what a better newer brighter life would look like for u. For me it was NOT putting my career first, being content financially with having my needs are met, and putting my family and things I enjoyed first. I'm no longer worried about performing, and climbing the ladder, or worried about what certain people think of me. There is a relief and calmness living this new way. I noticed that during the day, mostly with the help of meditation, that I can control the narrative in my mind. I can observe my various symptoms and stay relatively calm. However at night (trying to sleep or waking up from sleep) the subconscious seems to come out and that's when the negative thoughts and doom cranks up. This is the frustrating part. I understand what is going on and how to address it, but I guess I need more time for it to take hold. Did anything similar happen with you? I sincerely appreciate your videos. I can't thank you enough.

The narrative in your head is the most powerful tool you have. having the awareness of it is so important and understanding that your emotions are NOT YOU. Being able to take a step back from feeling the emotions and instead observing the emotions. when you have negative thoughts creeping up, understand that you have a choice. you can choose to listen to your thoughts or NOT listen to your thoughts and instead listen to another thought. problem is we tend to be very anxious people. we are hyper vigilant and we think of the worst as a way got protect ourselves. and we are not aware that doing that actually creates a life of fear. so we tend to seek "truth" or "worst case scenario". we need to instead just believe positive thoughts. im over simplifying through this comment. you are on the right track.

Your videos are really helpful. There is hope. I too was a highly motivated and skilled Critical Care Nurse (first career). I'm now 69 and still driven to accomplish but it's making me sicker and sicker. Your advice is really helpful. Thank you!

Hi Rob! Thanks for all the information you shared with us on your channel. I decided to start EMDR therapy, both because of something that has been haunting me lately, and also to work on my childhood. However, after the first session I went into complete shutdown. I'm afraid that going into therapy will slow down my recovery as I had already improved and now I feel worse again. Do you have any thoughts on this? I see many people recovering without working on traumas and I’m starting to have doubts. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.

I find that doing therapy can hinder your recovery progress because they will activate your nervous system. But it depends. if PTSD is causing flashbacks and not letting you sleep, then tackling that would be priority. But if you are just doing trauma work just to rehash the past with no purpose then I wouldn't recommend it while you are working on healing the nervous system.

yeah. If im really stressed I may feel certain symptoms come back but I just return to the polyvagal exercises and they are gone within a few min or hours. they never last.

Yeah I was wondering whether we still have these messages to our brain, is it that we are hyper sensitive as a protective mechanism or are we just better at listening?
