During the college basketball game between Hawaii and Texas A&M Commerce, Hawaii trailed 53-46 with just 13 seconds left. They then scored a layup with under four seconds left to make it 53-48. They then got the bal back after an errant Texas A&M Commerce inbounds pass went out of bounds. They quickly hit a three to make it 53-51 with 1.8 seconds left. Then, Texas A&M Commerce somehow turned the ball over again on the inbounds pass and Hawaii secured the ball and hit the buzzer beating three to win it 54-53... but the refs blew the whistle before the shot as they ruled the Texas A&M Commerce player who touched the ball on the play was out of bounds. However, upon replay it was clear that he was not even close to being out of bounds. Hawaii instead how to inbound the ball but missed the potential game winning three and lost 53-51 in heartbreaking fashion.
