It was called Jawaiian when this genre of music came out. It has evolved to Island Reggae over time, but old school listeners like myself know it as Jawaiian

It’s called Jawaiian. It’s basically Hawaiian island music mixed with reggae style. Bob Marley was a huge influence with the island music vibe.

He was having fun. Makes him feel like he's in his ZONE. But we have a saying in Hawai'i. "You can take the boy out of the islands, BUT you can't take the islands out of the boy" this is so true for Iam🏖😎🏄
