GREAT VIDEO to remind Tourist Visitors that they are visitors and to respect Kauai! Just because they spend money to get there doesn't mean they "own" the place and they are not "renting" Kauai for their visit!

We're you both born there or did you move there? What do y'all do for a living? I have so many questions!! Be cool to meet up whenever I visit some day 😊 With the Walmarts only allowing so many people in at a time have you noticed that help any with the corona virus?? I heard it's being out into practice here in Kentucky on Saturday. (Personally I'm all for a complete lockdown just to get this over with. I'm dyinggggg to travel again)

Thanks you so much for the tips!!! All 10 are so great! We love watching your videos in preparation for our trip! Any chance you can do a video of the ATV tour? We’d love to see what that is like. Thanks!!!

Thank you so much for watching! We are glad to hear that our videos are helping with your vacation planning. We did a tour with Koloa ATV when my Dad was visiting a couple of weeks ago but didn't make an actual video because it is very time consuming and just wanted to focus on our time with him :) We had a BLAST with Koloa ATV and definitely recommend taking a tour with them, although there are more operators on the island. We will try to go back sometime in the future to make a video. When is your trip? Some recommendations we can offer would be to wear clothes you don't care about getting wet or dirty. They do provide you with t-shirts and shorts you can put on over your clothes. Bring towels also because you can actually get into the waterfall that you end up driving to and spending time at for the snack. The tour is about 4 hours long so it does take up a long portion of your day and we can tell you that it is a lot of fun if it is raining so don't worry about the weather if it is rainy out. Aloha!

Thank you!!! We are coming in April! I will look online. Do you suggest we book prior to getting to the island?

You should be fine waiting until you get here. When I booked for my Dad's visit I reserved 3 days in advance and got the day that we wanted. It could be busier in April though with all the different mainland states having Spring break at different times.

Thank you so much! We always love getting your positive comments and feedback!! If you think about it...we are all really just visitors on this beautiful island, right? ;) That's how we look at it. Those that truly love Kauai have respect for Kauai. And yes we should definitely meet up the next time you visit! Aloha!

Aloha Deanna! Since you guys are youngsters (hahahaha...I feel really old saying that!!) you should look into staying at the Hostel in Kapaa. Now, I know NOTHING about the hostel there so I can't really give any advice or truthfully recommend it but I can say that back in my early 20's (a very very long time ago) I traveled around Europe and did the hostel thing and it was a BLAST! And of course there's always camping but you will definitely need a vehicle which can be expensive. There are island car rentals companies that charge way less than the regular well known car rental brands so maybe look into that as well. I would love to hear back from you if you decide to go the hostel route!

Oh my gosh, guys. I can't believe they had to close off Kipu Falls. I took my son there for years . . . every year when we visited the island. One of our favorite places on the island. So sad. Love your videos.

Hey Brodie! We just watched this video and a bunch of others. Love the stuff you guys are doing. We also took an amazing tour with you an the team at island helicopters, but violated one of the etiquette recommendations. Do you have a venmo account? We'd love to show our appreciation to you and the team.

Enjoyed everything about this etiquette video except the tipping part. Let us not forget tipping is generally OPTIONAL and is a sign the recipient of the service was EXTRAORDINARILY pleased. It is normally NOT MANDATORY. Therefore, whatever I leave - including NOTHING - should be fine with the operators. They are NOT "working hard"; they are running a business for which I presume they have charged a price they think the market will bear and that covers their operating expenses and then some. I'm really tired of this gouging culture where as much as a third of a tourist's budget is lost to tips when the service they receive is mediocre or no different than what is normally offered. I am a business owner and offer a service - including DISCOUNTS to my established clients. Sometimes they tip me additionally; sometimes not. I don't run my business for tips. I run it because I enjoy my craft. That's something operators EXPECTING tips should be mindful of.

Aloha! Thank you for watching and for your feedback. Everyone definitely has their own experiences to go off of. What I can tell you about Kauai is that the tour guides and tour support staff we are tipping usually have more than 2 jobs because of the cost of living and low wages. The tips are going to them, not the tour company owners. We are business owners too so I definitely understand where you are coming from. I do not expect people to tip me or our fitness instructors. However, with that said, if I go on a guided tour and I'm given really great information by the guide and my safety is the top priority of that guide I am going to give them a tip out of my direct appreciation to them.
