It’s been a long time that Iam request to many KZitemrs of Manipur to shoot a video of Hawaizar making process but none of them are full filled my request , while I was watching the hentak preparing video & along the side my eyes clicked in this video caption hawaizar processing..OMG ! How I’am happy to see this…& it is unimaginable for sometime. When Thoibi started to address that the peoples who are living out of station they can make this HAWAIZAR, this line really touched me that Iam feeling she is talking to me directly ….. Any way, thank you so much for this video & it will be a life long lesson for people like me to how to prepare the HAWAZAR out of Manipur. Pliz check this 1. Soaked the small grade soyabean over one night 2. Boil in pressure cocker till 8 whistle blow 3. After boil, strain the beans & wash by hot water & dry it for sometime but it should not be too hot nor too cool & packed in a white thin cotton cloth & wrapped tightly & keep in the bamboo basket or breathable box for 2 days in summer time & 5 days for winter…& final product is ready …. (is it correct ….? Do I understand perfectly ? ) If Iam succeed to make this fermented soya beans product then I will be remember THOIBI GI MATHEL life long. Hopefully I will make Hawaizar in Jan 1st week & that will be my New year treats to all my frens & femly. I will surely follow your instructions & will let you know how it will be. If it become tasty all the credits will go to th THOIBI GI MATHEL, if not then that I will take the responsibility. My wife is non meitei & she & my daughter is very fond of Hawaizar & our femly are pure vegetarian so Hawaizar is count as one of the healthy foods in our menu. Once again, I’am very glad to thank you so much for your quick & positive response, God bless you & your femly. ( Note :- Darjeeling is a hill station, if you happen to disclose the green leaf to wrap the Hawaizar that will be so kind of you, if possible. By any reasons you don’t want to disclose then it’s alright )
