Just an FYI. I sold a bike many decades ago. It had and electrical problem. Enduro. I was very frustrated with it. Took off all accessories and still did not run right. Major cut out. The lady bought for her husband birthday. He got it to run like a dream. The problem with it was, on the ground to the engine. Its powder coated. Over time it will lose ground. He cleaned off the powder coat under the condition and it ran perfectly. Just an FYI.

Thanks to your video I ran upgraded cables from the positive battery terminal to the solenoid, and from the solenoid to the starter. It delivers a lot more power to the starter. That was a great idea to install a battery charging attachment...I find myself charging the battery like I'm a damn Tesla owner.

Hey u mentioned when explaining how you ran your ground wire the there was a place it was grounded to on the other side of the engine. Was wondering where exactly that location is. I got a hawk 250 and how I got it, it Is kick start only no battery solenoid fuses or even the start button on the handle bars. I currently have everything more or less to hook up the battery and everything else just want to make sure I'm on the rite path pls lmk when you can and thanks for the great helpful videos!

My bike was just delivered a couple weeks ago, and it seems from what I've seen on KZitem a lot of things have been up graded from the factory. Like it came with a maintenance free battery, and the carburetor, and most things with the bike seem to be much improved from 3 years ago, according to the post I've seen on You Tube form that time.

I really do appreciate it.I ended up not installing it because the new batteries that came with the 2021 efi version are sealed/ no maintenance batteries as well.also, I didn't feel like adding a spacer to make it fit. It was a long assembly night lol.good to know I have a quality battery for backup though.

Thank you for your help! I bought the battery in your video however I can only get one or two rides before it dies... as well as the factory battery. Any idea why it would drain so quickly? I even disconnected all my "extras" that drew from the battery.

You do have to completely charge up the new battery with a battery charger, but I would just get a new sealed battery and junk the stock one. It's crap.

@JackofAllMasterofNone

I haven't had the same experience. Your stator may be bad or it could just be the voltage regulator. That is a more common issue. The only way to upgrade is to replace the stator, but there is no easy high output direct swap that I am aware of. Some people use the CSC TT250 stator but it requires a different flywheel and wiring harness. Not an easy job.

@@johnnyp2609 I just watched your video. Try shifting the bike with the engine running. What you are showing in that video is somewhat normal. They don't shift sometimes if they aren't running. You either need to take some slack out of the cable or your shift forks are screwed in the engine case. There are plenty of videos on yimoutube about how to adjust your clutch cable. I can't make a relevant video for you because my Hawk has a completely different engine and it's a different cable and everything

Check the voltage at the battery. Might be your batteries internal protection cutoff.
