This is such a beautiful, criminally underrated song which, in a way, I like as it's always been such a secret passion of mine. A couple of weeks ago in the hot weather, the daughter had a 26th birthday party and BBQ. Dad (me) of course had to drive a few of her mates home in the cooling summer night, roof down on the old XR3i. This came on the memory stick and they all went silent, "WOW, that is the most beautiful song. Who is it?" and "Put it on again, again, again!"....came the remarks. It seems OUR taste for 70s/80s music is shared. Good taste hasn't died with the recent dreadful music scene afterall. I don't think I have ever made a music compilation with this track. The sax just makes the hair on my neck stand on end. If I had some on my head, that'd probably stand on end, too. Thank you for this track, Hazel.

Met Hazel after a small venue gig several years ago, a fantastic wonderful woman, sat and talked for ages. The Industry made her and then destroyed her. Bless her she came back and is still back. This song will stay with me forever since when I first heard it on Radio 1 back in the mists of time. I love my Heavy Rock e.c.t.. But Hazel has a special place in my record collection. I couldn't disagree more. This song came out in 1980 by which time the following had already happened 1930s: One of the earliest documented instances of gender confirmation surgery is performed by Dr Magnus Hirschfeld, a German doctor renowned for his pioneering efforts in transgender healthcare. 1950s: Denmark’s Dr Christian Hamburger makes a historic mark by performing the first gender confirmation surgery on American soil. 1965: The United Kingdom witnesses its first instance of gender confirmation surgery, marking an important milestone in its healthcare history. 1960s-1970s: A period of heightened controversy as medical treatments catering to transgender individuals often face criticism and are largely perceived as experimental. 1975: Amsterdam becomes home to Europe’s first clinic dedicated to transgender healthcare, signifying progress in this field. 1979: The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) is established, offering crucial guidelines and recommendations for the medical treatment of transgender individuals. Just because *you* didn't know it was happening, doesn't mean it wasn't happening.

@@Spiklething So these are the idiots responsible for confusing hundreds of poor kids. You cannot change what you where born there are only two sexes, Man and Woman. I have seen what gender change has done to my nephew who at the age of three was allowed to call himself a girl, now 12 he is totally F_cked up. WHY do we allow this shit and spare me the he is a woman in a mans body crap. Transgender bullshit will be the death of the West.
