The melody is from Veyiten Lcha Haelokim Mital Hashsmayim composed by R Ben Zion Shenker the greatest baal menagen of our time. It is not anyone else’s nigun. Carlebach may sung it but its BZ Shenker’s melody.

I don't think Carlebach sang this. He wrote his own melody Hinei El Yeshuati which you can find on youtube sung by himself, Yehuda Green and others.

Correction. According to the information on the album "The New Modzitz Melave Malke" the niggun was composed by the Modzitzer Rebbe Rabbi Saul ztz"l, but indeed sung by Benzion Shenker, who was indeed a very "holy Yid".

Que o descanso, o bom gosto e a lembrança deste Shabath nos faça desejar o próximo. E que o Senhor te abençoe e te guarde, que Ele faça resplandescer o Seu rosto sobre Ti e te de a Shalom, Feliz Semana.
The original tune belongs to 'Veyitain Lachem Elokim Mital Hashamayim ....'

יפה מאוד ומרגש. רק תיקון קטן: הנה אל ישועתי... "ויהי" לא "ותהי".

In all the recordings and videos I can find of Carlebach he uses the melody he wrote himself. If he used the Modzitzer tune, was it earlier or later in his career?

Do you have more information? Are you thinking instead of the tune Friedman wrote for the Birchot Havdalah?
