You mentioned "they don't need a fuel filter"? Yes they do! You'll thank yourself in the long run because using a filter will decrease the chance of the burn chamber building up with deposits and causing a poorly operating heater.

Informative - Thanks !! I have one - Waiting on a couple of parts for my installation and have a couple of questions. The 3" lip on the hot air discharge is quite narrow - Is there an adapter that can be affixed to the case offering more of a lip - And if so is there one for a 4" hose ?? 2nd question is adjusting both the fuel and fan speed. Is tuning available via the controller -- Thanks !!

My son bought a German made oil fired heater for his camper, and it was 1200.00. How much do these run? Trying to heat a 320 square foot shop. Just wanting to take the chill off.

Is this model weatherproof? I am looking for a model I can mount on the side of my van where it will be subject to rain and snow. Excellent video. Thank you.

The label on the AC/DC block charger reads for Indoor use only. Does this mean this unit is not able to be placed outside to vent hot air into a tent for camping?

I’d love to see a video showing how to connect that heater to the portable power station. There are no eyelet connectors on the power station so you would have to use a DC adapter and I would love to know how to do it. Thanks!

Translation is still poor. It's not a truck. It doesn't have 10 gears. Do you think that maybe, just maybe, they means heat levels? Or maybe it's miles per gallon ? 🙂

Great video. Rats though. It's not fully portable like the old float regulated diesel heaters like the 50s- 60s but modern design. So one needs a wall plug. I wished this company would make like a Mr Heater portable style Propane one, but diesel.

I like the fact that it has a thermostat mode, but my use for this heater would be for a tent, which means I would keep the unit outside the tent, which is where the thermostat is so it will never reach the heat it was set at. So if you're going to use it in this manner, you would have to figure out someway to get that controller inside your tent if you're going to leave the unit outside. I assume that the wire connected to this controller panel is not long enough for such a situation without modifying the length of the cord. I doubt that the remote has a temperature gauge in it that reports back to the head unit remotely and even if it did, how would the unit know what temperature reading to use, the remotes or the controller.

This unit has a new “Level mode” that allows the heater to be adjusted based on a level of heat you choose, by toggling the keys on the pad. This control mode automatically adjusts all the internal components, ie fan, bump speed, altitude, taking the guesswork out and the need to manually change settings in engineering mode. Like on the older heaters. Coupled with the Bluetooth app and this new mode of control, there’s no more need for thermostatic control and extension of the cable, But It’s still a good idea though. 🍻

@ATEMOFFROAD All they need is a remote thermostat, they could put one in the keyfob.

@@ATEMOFFROADThat would work as well but to offer everyone the ability to have a remote thermostat they should integrate it into the key fob as not everyone's phone has a temperature sensor in it. but the phone is much easier as it is just a software mod and can be updated, or at least I assume it can be updated.
@ATEMOFFROAD

@@HoustonBrownPhotography I agree . It would also be good if it had the capability to shutdown the unit if the set temperature is met after ten minutes or so, then automatically turn back on if the temperature falls. It may not be for all purposes as their heated space may not be insulated well, but I’m sure those who do have well insulated spaces that would like the heater outside, would use this mode of control. Just a thought. I have some videos covering this heater as well as some mods and upgrades I’ve done. more to come on the channel. This was a good video review to 🍻

I’m assuming that when using the unit in temperature control mode, the heater will need to be inside whichever room you’re heating opposed to using 3” duct to route the heat inside and leaving the heater outside. Am I correct in this assumption? Thanks!
