Im from SE Mich, and back in 86 before he released Like A Rock, there was a rumor that Seger had cancer. Most rumors are started from a shred of truth. One thing is certain, after Like A Rock ,he took several years off , Then in 91, he did Fire Inside. No question that his voice wasnt the same and it never was what it used to be. He cant hit the hi notes anymore and hasnt been able to for ever. This is what smoking does to your voice. A lot of his contemporaries who smoked liked he still does are now dead, Im surprised that he has lived this long..

bleslie850 I loved Rambling Gambling Man & Heavy Music. But, it was Beautiful Loser that skyrocketed him to the top. What a class act, as well as a great composer & entertainer.

There will never be another Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. These guys totally rock and rock on with the universe!!! Rock my world. The absolute best concert I ever went to was Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in Baton Rouge Louisiana in the early 80’s. Beautiful performance pouring out all that energy!

This is what you call real music 🎶 'I can't understand a thing these singers are saying today!! 'I love my oldies and goodies!! It's the only music that's worth listening too!!. That makes sense!

It was magical being a teen-ager in the 70's. Never disappointed in commercialized crap like most of the music of the 80's. I had it good.

Bob Seger was one of those artists we looked forward to and waited patiently for his next album. He's in the RnR HOF where he belongs and yet it still feels like he's underrated and unappreciated to this day. A genuine artist, an American icon.

If I had a dollar for every time I ran through this on the old 8 track...LOL I'd just try to try to trade it for "one more night of cruising listening to this on the old 8 track"...LOL

As a kid growing up born in 1971, I was so very obsessed with my mom's"neato" fire engine red 8 track player! I thought the chunky tapes were awesome. 👍😉👍

Bob Seger and his band members are 75 Fn' years old. That is 5 less than 80.. Like the Americans of WW1 and WW2 they were the best Americans in our history. Well rock bands like Seger and of the 60s and 70s bands (you who they are), will be in that play book of life..

He liked the acoustics so much at Toledo’s Huntington Center, he did his tour rehearsal there. His show sold out so fast, he immediately added another. I worked both of them. What fantastic shows they both were! He could go home after each show as he doesn’t live far up in Michigan. Both shows were packed & well received.
