I agree the battery tray system completely sucks but after a bunch of times I guess I'm just accustomed to it now. It's not as much of a PIA as it used to be though it could still be much easier had they redesigned it in the V3 but for some reason they didnt. I still own and fly this heli and it's still very capable and powerful but my next 500 is for sure going to be the Compass EOX 500. I don't think the RJX can compete with most 500s today with superior designing and quality of parts. Plus if I'm not mistaken, the RJX parts may be hard to come by as I think it's discontinued. The X5 is a very nice machine. My buddy has one and flies it all the time. Space is limited for a good wiring job because of the narrow frame design but it is a light heli. A negative for me is its a torque tube tail. I much prefer a belted tail over a TT. In the end I guess it comes down to what you're looking for really and how much you're willing to pay for it.
