→ Join me on the first flight of my birthday rendezvous and a flight that describes 'regional flying' to a T - a short 30 minute flight between two cities only 110 miles apart! In this video, we fly between the two largest cities in the state of Arizona - Tucson and Phoenix. We begin after pushback as we are headed towards runway 11L. We turn to the south and get a great view of an unparalleled Arizona sunrise. We line up on runway 11L and apply full power to rocket off the ground and into the dimly lit skies above. We turn a complete 180 to the northwest and see the full beauty of Tucson's city lights. As we climb up to our cruising altitude of 14,000 feet, we pass by the cities of Oro Valley and Marana, pass by the site of the western most battle of the US Civil War (Picacho Peak) and pass near Casa Grande, before descending into the Phoenix Area. As the warm sunlight slowly lights up the valley, we begin a series of turns to line up for runway 8. Once lined up, we make a smooth approach and landing, followed by a really short taxi to gate B3, where this short flight concludes. I hope you enjoy this short regional flight as much as I did, and, as always, all the flight information you could ever desire can be found below!
