Shringara means love and beauty. This is the emotion used to represent that which appeals to the human mind, that which one finds beautiful, that which evokes love. This is indeed the king of all rasas and the one that finds the most frequent portrayal in art. It can be used for the love between friends, the love between a mother and her child, the love for god or the love between a teacher and his disciples. But the Shringara or love between a man and a woman is easily the most popular form of this rasa.
Below is a brief about what is NAVARASA.
==========================================================================
“Nava” means nine and “Rasa” means emotions.
The concept of rasa is fundamental to various forms of Indian Classical Dance and Music.
The Navarasas give dance completeness. "Rasa" is about human state of mind. It’s about what the mind feels and the expression of the feeling thereafter. In the Bharata’s Natyashastra, Rasa is an emotion experienced by the audience created by the facial expression or the Bhava (cause of emotion) of the actor. Thus Rasa encompasses not just emotions but also the various things that cause that emotion.
The Rasas are the mainstay of Performing Art, which tries to present various phases of human life.
