@@amehka5416 I know. I know! Sacha's greatest contribution to Naomi's tennis was to 'bring good news of her idol', Serena. lol For the female tennis players, the impact from their state of mind is massive, more so than for the males. Naomi in this interview is hinting as much when she stated that her dad "understands" her; because of course, he is her dad. The father has more experience of Naomi's changing moods and how to handle them. A relatively young and relatively inexperience Sacha is not able to successfully and consistently navigate the mind-field of his female charges. Even Serena is having same issues with his his long time but still 'inexperience' coach. Serena not winning one of those trips to Slam Finals has been mostly mental. Serena's dad would have fix Serena's mental problems a long long time ago; because he knows his 'little girl's mental make up' better than Serena's present coach.

This might sound weird to say... but Naomi needs coaching, but not a coach. Osaka and Beijing kinda proves it. Maybe to prepare for the clay and grass swings she could take on someone that can guide her through to making some improvements, but otherwise I think she's good. Emotional support and stability is the key to her playing well and that seems to come best from her Dad.

It's not weird. Sometimes bringing in a coach who deals with too many technical stuff can be damaging to a player.

You seem to assume that the dad brings in nothing in the Tennis department, only emotional support? Whatever they are doing, it’s working.

Osaka has all the weapons she needs to be as lethal as she can be in tennis. Speed, power, serve, defense, tacticality, reflex, you name it. Osaka's biggest weakness is her being too hard on herself when she is dealing with tough opponent or when she starts making unforced errors. I think she needs her dad to support her emotionally, and another coach to expertise in her game. I personally think that adding more varieties as a surprise element in her style and adapting to grass and clay would be a tremendous addition to make her stronger. Who knows. We'll see.

Quite honestly, only people with low IQ would judge her or her father from the way Naomi talked about her dad. I mean, from what I can feel, She is saying that her dad annoys her so much, yet, he is one of the key factors why she would try harder on her games. His mere presence gives her a stronger force to play better. This is literally how I interpret what Naomi had said.

She's the best player in the world and she doesn't act like she owns it or it owes her. He must have done a LOT right. Maybe the biggest sign is that she can feel safe to complain about him in public because she knows he's going to be there and love her no matter what.
