Excellent talk. One thing that can be done in colder climates, is an indoor micro green farm. You're already paying to heat the house, why not make use of it? The nutrient density in micro greens is very high, too.

Flexibility seems to be the key to being long-term vegan. All the successful, and healthy vegans, are educated, flexible, creative, and hacw commitment to their "why". I've just hit 15 years high raw vegan (starting out fully raw, and effortlessly having raw days even now)... mine was health to begin with, and a few years in, the ethics became the center of why I stay vegan. Staying healthy, and happy, so people want to know what you're doing and want to learn about veganism ❤

My tip for staying warm in a cold climate, in addition to what was already said (especially cranking up the heat, although with regards to going outside my suggestion would be to avoid doing so at all costs), is to eat very low fat and eat plenty of sugar. Every single one of your 50-100 trillion cells is like a little wood stove, and sugar is like luxury wood that has been dried under a sunny breeze for a decade, burns cleanly and with optimal efficiency, whereas fat is more like soggy wood that never dried properly and was just hauled in from the rain too, requires more oxygen and doesn't burn as cleanly at all, doesn't produce energy with nearly the same efficiency at all; there's almost nothing that heats me up as much as a big meal of sugar-rich fruits.

Please don't take this as an offense, but I've just been watching some older videos by ted, and the amount of aging he has done in recent years is unbelievable.. why would that be do you think? In videos from around 7 years ago he makes the impression of a mid-twenty guy, while in this video he feels like a full grown almost middle aged man.. maybe he just matured on a soul level..

When you learn about raw, you learn about the hygienist movement and the goal is not to have bacteria digesting your food. So based on my research it is going completely against the purpose of eating raw to be feeding the “microbiome”. The whole goal of improved digestion is so your enzymes break down your food not bacteria or yeast or other microbes because their waste products are poisons. If microbes are breaking down your food it is rotting in the intestines and is moving too slowly. You want to eliminate quickly to preserve the intestinal lining and proper absorption.
@moesi11

There are many different types of bacteria and not all of them are bad. Lactic acid bacteria, for example, are very good for humans.
@okraw
10 ай бұрын
The hygienist movement was created before microbiome research. While it does have many good points, the major downside in my book is that it does not factor in the microbiome to over-all health and wellness. While some bacteria (bad) waste products can be detrimental and cause disease, beneficial bacteria "waste products" are beneficial to have healthy gut lining, and MUCH MORE. Not many raw vegans choose to accept microbiome science to improve their health. This is my current journey.

@moesi11

Just eat greens für omega 3 and leave the fish alone
@okraw
10 ай бұрын
Fruits dont have any significant amount of Omega-3, if you add in Leafy greens, you can get enough omega-3's without eating any nuts and seeds. However, simply adding some flax, chia or hemp can be easier to get omega-3's esp if your not eating enough greens. That being said plant foods do not contain EPA/DHA (more complex Omega-3) that our bodies should make from greens/hemp/chia/flax if we are in balance. However an easier way is to supplement with algae oil, which is what I prefer. Fish get DHA/EPA from the algae they eat. I prefer to take algae oil instead of eating fish at this point.

John asks "are you single?" Ted responds, "depends who's asking." Yes I am taken, but still depends on who's asking. Meaning, Ted has not changed. He is still into polyamory. Ted used to make videos as a scrawny fruitarian telling the world how he wanted to travel the world and sleep with a bunch of women and leave a litter of kids for all the women to take care of with no assistance from him, because he would be traveling the world. My opinion of John Kohler just changed to read that Ted has been John's long-time friend. Ted compared women to fruit and that he liked different flavors. Ted, women are not fruit, they are human beings made in the image of God, who gave rules to humans how to live. There have been too many documented medical and other miracles of the biblical God to prove there is a governing power overseeing humans for people to feign ignorance. Go read what Jesus said about marriage.
