Kevins tribute to Whitney at her Homegoing was incredible. You can honestly tell that he had a tremendous amount of respect and heartfelt admiration for her. To this day I still have trouble watching it without crying like a baby😢! We lost so much when Whitney, Michael, Prince and just recently Tina passed away. 4 musical giants that exploded the music industry with iconic hits that crushed the Billboard charts for decades. Dolly wrote the song for Porter Wagner who's tv show she was on and as the story goes he became jealous of how popular she became on the show so she stepped aside and left the show, and wrote this song for him out of love and respect and I suppose forgiveness, so glad Whitney sang this song also, love the way they both sang it,it is a song that came truly from a loving heart

@doglover-sv4zi well it was more about Porter having a thing for Dolly he wanted her and she wasn't interested, that's when the jealousy over the career started, kind of like... I made you! @@deannaholt1602You're obviously not a Whitney fan if you don't know that she was worse than Bobby. She would've ruined Kevin. Many buttoned up men in Hollywood wanted Whitney, but when they discovered her leisure activities, they shied away or she dumped them because they judged her. She pursued Bobby because she knew he was a bad boy and he wouldn't judge her. She was 9 years his senior. She wanted a young stallion who could handle her in bed and then smoke or sniff with her afterwards. Kevin would've gotten her to clean up her act and she would've cussed him out or left him. She threatened her own mother when she tried to intervene, so how do you think Kevin Costner would've had a chance? Oh, it's the white savior myth that so many BW have in their minds that Hollywood continues to feed y'all. I get it.
