This is a really great interview, I watched it a few months ago but forgot to leave a comment. Just rewatched again and loved it as much as the first time. I have followed Bazz on twitter and seen the progress he's made with his newbies - amazing achievements and I enjoyed listening to him talking about his playstyle and the background to it all. Thank you both for a very entertaining insight. 😊

You gotta interview Grin... you can find him in world 6 doing z3 archeology. He plays about 20 accounts at once, still making more... he makes over a bill a day from staff pieces alone, and who knows how much in materials. He has a 200m main, and a 200m all ironman. Would love to see him talk about his bank and stuff.

When I first saw bazz on my first week of playing the game in the last dxp event, he stopped me in my tracks as I clicked on a single player to examine the stats and gear as this is my new addiction I was met with a wall of bazz’s and after examining them all my admiration for this player only grew and it pushed me to lock myself in the fort which is where I came across him and grind out my first ever 99 on this game which was construction. Bazz your truly a legend

Thanks for the interview, I’m 31minutes in and I enjoy it. I been playing as long or longer and the modern day scapers don’t really get it or haven’t really found enjoyment in rs .. but I appreciate interviews and I don’t see any point in Down talking anyone . I know a specialty doctor who loves playing rs, meanwhile the chat makes fun of him because he plays a few accounts and they say he has no life. He just laughs 😂

If anything - This mans editing was worth the effort alone to step outside my comfort zone to be recorded lol. I know its easy for some but I think im more of a visual person essentially. I love his talent in his editing. Dont get me wrong though - I had tons of fun too. Outside comfort zone perhaps but still exciting to partake in.

Just to contribute to a couple of the points made that I felt strongly about. In regards to the new player experience, one of the most notable issues is that everyone expects you to already know things. When you try to ask questions or interact most players tell you to go to the wiki which I think is sad. I think not only on the devs end giving the new players a better experience, but the community itself needs to be far more welcoming to new players, and be more willing to interact. As for the difference in ironman vs maiinscape and how mainscape is stuck doing the "best thing" versus ironman doing a more ladder type progression, that is where I feel that mainscape could greatly benefit from a more interactive and appealing progression gameplay style. Comp is a great example of going for late game goals, and golden reaper is a great example of going for late game pvm logs. But the game could really really benefit from introducing similar concepts and ideas to early and mid level players. Give them a reason to go for boss logs on lower level bosses, give people a reasons to try different types of skilling methods. Yaktrack for example was something I loved when I started because it forced me to do methods I wouldn't otherwise to progress, as well as things like clue scrolls, but now everything is skill/kill and that's not the direction that will appeal to new comers. Theres countless opportunities to integrate content into the game that could appeal to players. A great example is Roar on anacronia, the way that it makes some activities there worth doing but only for a period of 1 hour at a time compared to others, I think the game could benefit a lot from similar systems. Maybe create elite boss weeks where an OG boss like Bandos Or Kbd is greatly greatly buffed and offers better drops and titles, or create system similar to osrs with combat tasks encouraging players to try things that are fun and not "optimal." For skilling it's similar, things like shooting stars, evil trees used to be so fun because they are sudden and great, can add such mechanics to existing content. Can also make it all super interactive. These are just spit balling example but, for example, you could have something like the wildly events, when you complete the mining one maybe it gives you a buff and for the next 20mins all the ores in the wild are buffed, or maybe when you find a champion scrolls you can fight a very challenging boss that gives you a title like "sekelton king slayer" "Giant king slayer" "Goblin chief slayer" things like that. Idk, I feel that people really like grinding for things that are more specific than "120s" or "gp". I know for me when I returned to the game a few years ago the most exciting grinds were unlocking things like invention, and priff, and on the iron 99 dung for the cape teleports, or even really early things like unlocking vis wax and pof. These sorts of interactive gameplay type things that you grind a few hours and feel rewarded for it. The game already has sooo much content that it's overwhelming for newer players. I think the game needs to focus more on making the play through of the game far more interactive and interesting and engaging, and less on just releasing newer content all the time.

@@IronAraxxor Be mindful that these people are not interested in the answers. They are insecure and lack social skills. Its like asking a man "How small is your dick" -- Put yourself in that position. You in a pub, having a drink, and a random man walks upto you and asks you that question. It wont matter what answer is given because they dont want to know the answer. Its about /them/ not the question. Its pointless to engage with people like that.
