@@radaction5743 Urban Meyer one of the most decorated coaches in college history was so awful that he lost the locker room in less than a season. The media had nothing to do with the fact that it took several season for the Browns locker to turn on Jackson. What you are hinting at but not saying is that Jackson was hired and kept because he was black. Jackson turned the raiders 31 ranked offense to a top ten offense with with Jason Campbell and Mcfadden and Heyword Bey all considered busts. Then the Raiders crashed back to 28th after he left. Then Jackson took Andy Dalton who had thrown 36 int in the 2 years before Jackson arrived trimmed it to 24. The issue with the Brown was they were a 3-12 team that began actively dumping their talent. Jackson didn't adjust his game plan to the fact that he had 3rd string QBs When he had starters his record was 2-5-1 and 8-8 with the Raiders Thats why he isn't considered as bad as Urban. Not because he is black. Everything isn't about race.

That’s half of Eric’s issue in these jobs. Personally I would get coached in how to interview and public speaking like a dale Carnegie course. They would really help Eric in his interviewing process. He would have had Texan job if he interviewed well. May not seem great but it’s a better job than Jets, Carolina or jags. It has a rabid fan base. A good history. Just looking for coach to set right culture. The guy they hired from ravens just beat the chargers and won two straight in a rebuilding year. Can’t ask for more. Lots of young players getting better. According to Cowherd, Meyer failed because Trevor Lawrence isn’t a good QB like how Jimmy had with the Cowboys his 1st year. So if Colin Cowherd said it, it must be true! 😐🤨

Ugh didn't Troy Aikman have a like 1-15 first season?😆

@@HaroldReece - yes, that was Cowherd’s point. Because Jimmy Johnson had a 1-15 season and kept HIS job, it’s therefore Lawrence’s fault Meyer was fired. 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

Regardless to what extent Urban Meyer is a "bad dude"...there's another element of truth here. If the Jags (and more specifically Trevor Lawrence) were showing progress this year no one would care about Meyer spending time with an anonymous woman at a bar, and probably not even literally kicking another person. And if they did know they'd keep it quiet. Don't kid yourself....its win at all costs...and it's not just in sports either. That Jags owner did the right thing out of convenience. How many other players and coaches are doing similar things "In the dark" just as Urban Meyer was doing? A guy named Jon Gruden? And if that doesn't sound too good, I'll tell you something you'll like even less: Stories like Urban Meyer and Jon Gruden's fall from grace consistent of what we do know, so it's hard to imagine what goes on of what we don't know. And then what's covered up. Like I said...don't kid yourself.

Does anyone ever realize that none of urban Meyers QBs he coached in college have ever been successful in the NFL…that is a Fact. Justin field is very very good, but he was that aside from Meyer

I just wonder 💭 why did the Jags hire him? He’s never stayed at any college program, and he doesn’t have discipline.

Shad Khan has no business being an NFL owner. He will probably hire Dan Quinn as his next HC.

He's one of two minority owners in the NFL, the other is Buffalo Bills owner of is Kim Pegula who's South Korean. Only reason people don't like him as an owner because he's Muslim.

I haven't played football in decades, but when an assistant coach grabbed the facemask of a player the team almost rioted against him. The player complained to the principal and the coach never touched a player in such a disrespectful way again. Would it played out differently if players were on scholarship? Perhaps.

The Jags announced they fired Meyer for "cause", so they don't have to pay him the remaining four years on his contract. Most likely it will be resolved in court, or both sides could agree to a settlement.
