Yeah, it really felt like Security Breach in its current state where it’s playable, like it actually works more or less, and while not having nearly as much Soul in it, it’s at least a decent game, especially compared to how utterly atrocious Hello Neighbor 1 was, but then it just feel apart at the end in spectacular fashion. Sad that Phil and Pastra never got to witness the ACTUAL good version of Hello Neighbor 2. Alpha 1.5 is BY FAR my favorite version of the game. The Guest was originally the main antagonist, and would have kidnapped Mr. Peterson. The game would've originally been more open, and would have had more experimental mechanics. The Extinguisher Rocket Jump as you called it was HEAVILY nerfed in the full game. You could originally FLY using the damn thing. The Cameras? Were in the alphas as well. You even had to watch what the Guest was doing ON the cameras to progress the game. Not to mention THE ARTSTYLE. The entire town is run-down, and everything looks like heaps of junk were put together, or buildings were destroyed. This makes sense LORE-WISE because of a STORM that would have happened that would've destroyed the Town. (Before they made that non-canon, thanks guys)

On that topic of spoilers: I completely agree with Phil and Pastra’s takes, how despite knowing how the twist, one can still gleam enjoyment from whatever ride is laid out, and if it’s a good twist, the clues give much more value to the end, perhaps even more than the end itself. I’ve been on the trend of knowing the main twist of some series or movie, vague or exactly, that very twist giving me interest or drawing me in in the first place, even if I had no interest beforehand. Despite being spoiled on the big thing, it’s all the little things I notice with that twist in mind that I get to greatly appreciate, and get enthused over (I listed some examples as a reply…). One last thing I’d like to note: The difference between terror and horror for the audience. An explosion will trigger beneath a table, in front of a studio audience, in the middle of a talk show. An explosion without anyone’s knowledge is sudden. Loud. Unpredictable. Surprising, and certainly scary…_but only for so long,_ and so brief, perhaps even souring for the experience as a whole, if it was somehow relevant. If the audience is told about the explosion, long before it happens, then there’s a looming suspense that hangs in the air. A tension that everyone knows will end…but forces all to wait. An impression that can be left, and an addition to an experience, if relevant to the topic at hand. Jumpscares “as the clown jumps out” are cheap. Numbing in excess. Hammier if you add to that scare. But they can be accentuated, maybe even obsolete, If the journey itself has given the appropriate substance for the key moment, steadily, instead of abruptly.

Pastra going absolutely RABID over the Sillent Hill 2 Remake situation was the best part of the stream. The game was so mid they just kept on about everything but Hello Neighbor 2

I think it's worth noting Steel Wool doesn't list this game on their website at all. Also TIL Hello Neighbor is from a Russian studio, and that surprisingly explains a lot about the weird jank.

It’s funny how HN2 isn’t labeled horror while HN1 is but HN2 has proven to be scarier than HN1

Whats funny is that HN1 was originally a horror game but then they ended changing direction, and it became just a puzzle game, it was just tinybuild for some reason was just too lazy to change the genres in the steampage

I've looked up if Steel Wool actually worked on Hello Neighbor 2 and they only worked on the DLC, not the main game. They are apparently also working on a VR Hello Neighbor game.

They are genuinely improving now. The new content for the game will be free, there was a roadmap released detailing what to expect. So basically, Hello Neighbor 2 is a 6/10, but could improve.

I watched a devlog video talking about all the stuff that they plan on adding to Hello Neighbor 2. It ranges from fixing glitches/bugs, new locations, new characters, and more lore exploration. They're gonna continue the story after that cliffhanger ending.
