Farmland was actually filled with funny moments like this in the manga but was cut out to keep the serious tone of the arc, which I appreciate

Such a phenomenal adaptation of this arc. It's rare to see a seinen given this amount of love in every frame.

Astronomically rare. We should consider us so lucky to be able to witness this literal masterpiece in this form.

@@IndigoStat To me it's Vinland, Eighty-Six, and Shingeki. Never gotten around to watching Monster. From what i hear it's very mixed. Not that i base my own opinion off of that. It's not really a deterrent for me to try and watch something.

@@Celeborn93 Eighty-six and Shingeki are not seinen. Eighty syx is a light novel and Shingeki is a Shonen, but I get what your point is. Also, I've never heard mixed opinions about Monster, every time I heard something about it is nothing but praises for the adaptation and the manga by Naoki Urasawa. I can recommend 2 seinen with fantastic adaptations. First, Parasyte, such a great anime that I can't reccomend enough. Second, Kaguya-sama, great comedy and romance anime with fantastic visuals and direction and believe it or not it's a seinen lol

@@TheDead110 Oh i thought we were just referring to masterpieces at this point, mb, could've been a bit more transparent. 86 is a Seinen by all standards and definitions, doesn't really embody or borrow any Shounen defined tropes, and it hasn't gotten an official rating, except for the illustrated manga, which was showcased in a Seinen magazine. Same kinda goes for AoT, except it borrows a lot of Shounen makeup for it's fighting and action oriented moments, but thematically and geographically it is pure Seinen. But it too has been labelled a Shounen by technicality, so i guess i can't officially disprove anything there. Yeah i've heard a lot about Monster, mainly that it becomes really repetitive and dry as it goes on, seeing as it's a longer anime. But that doesn't say a lot coming from a general community that is mainly Shounen watchers. And it's definitely on my list. Thanks, i'll give those a try. I just pray there's no needless fanservice, because that's a nono for me.

when you know, that the manga doesn't stops here. but the ending can satisfy you enough without asking for a season 3 that's a top tier anime for you. "and Throfinn live happily ever after" The End...

This is one of the most powerful stories I've ever read or watched. The author really believes in what he writes, I bow not to his work, but to him as a human being.

One of the best shows in the last 10 years! It’s rare to see a manga so masterfully adapted. You can see that the studio really put everything they had into it and really stood behind its message. When Thorfin reaches Island and tried to guess the name of this one guy he was actually not that far off. He did play with a guy named Faxi (we can see him calling his name in episode 1 of the prologue). But the guy before him seemingly wasn’t Faxi, though they should at least recognize that Thorfin knew one of them. Only explanation why this didn’t work would be that Faxi left the village as a young boy so no one remembers him. Regarding Thorfins age: he was 17 as Askeladd was killed and as he meets Einar he is 18 or 19. Both worked on Ketils farm for 3 years, so Thorfin is either 21 or 22 at this point. In the manga we also had a funny scene with Ylva wanting to cut his hair and beard and Thorfin protesting about the beard-cutting because a man in this culture just NEEDS one or he looks stupid. And I found it very funny that Thorfin goes against so many norms (choosing pacifism despite fighting being thought of as the most manly thing) but he drew the line at the beard. Well, Ylva didn’t care and cut it anyways so we get freshly-shaven Thorfin now. And considering how much he protested against the shave at first it’s very funny that we (Minispoiler?) don’t see his beard anymore. Thank you for reacting to this series, it was really a joy seeing your reactions!

I’m not sure why they changed when thorfinn cuts his hair. He was supposed to do it before he told them about his experiences while he was away and it was a really nice moment with Ylva. Still 10/10 episode tho

Thanks for another awesome reaction. Looking forward to catching some of your other series now.
I don't get why some people make a video with a title "Vinland Saga S2 is Boring". They're not really following the story, they only want to see fight, fight and fight. There's only fight scene inside their head.
