Good thing it took place in the Kray's home country and not in America. Of course, also that he admitted something like that to one of the head's of the Italian Mafia while they have such a powerful reputation. If this took place back in America where the Italians live, and if the Kray's weren't such a big deal, well... The Italian Mafia REALLY don't like that stuff and I think people tend to forget about that. They make the Ancient Greeks look downright progressive in comparison.

Don't contribute to the misunderstanding that all gay men are pedophiles. Gay men are attracted to other adult men. Same sex pedophilia is a different thing. Can there be overlap in some cases? I guess so. But it's dangerous to group all homosexuals into the pedo category.

2 things people will miss the point of in this clip. 1. The guy didn't start the convo with "I'm Gay and you need to respect me". He didn't bring up his sex life until the guy was offering to hook him up because being Gay isn't what's important. It's just a part of who he is. 2. The Italian didn't care and moved on because the other guy being Gay and open about it, while unusual, didn't change anything about the deal. The important thing is the deal not who his partner is banging in the bedroom.

So, I dunno a lot about this movie. But since we're talking about woke, I'll tell you, that "woke" folks don't want token minority characters either. What you're talking about, where the minority character's only trait is that they're a minority ("He didn't start the conversation with 'I'm gay and you should respect me'") - that's called "tokenism" and we don't like it either. Where folks tend to clash, is that certain people get *really* up in arms about it to the point where it feels like they really just don't like the representation at all. The difference between "they're ramming it down our throats!!" and "unfortunately this character seemed like a token nod to LGBT and lacked any actual depth" is enormous. Anyways, no hate, I just think it's an interesting miscommunication between two sides that would agree on more than they might think.

I'd like to think that a bullet was dodged because the insinuation that he didn't like more masculine men, which would put anyone in the mob at unease for discomfort. Instead, he specifically said boys, and then brought it down to specific types of people, meaning he still seeks feminine or dismissive characteristics in a sexual partner.
