Thank God for his uncle! This love put into action (mentorship and apprenticeship) is what we need more of in our communities.

I'm all about him tapping into a passion and I LOVED hearing what he wants to get out of being a barber. Now the problem I have with it is 2 things: 1. cutting class; 2. working on school property (he was definitely getting paid to cut hair). 1. He doesn't have a break or can't cut hair after school? 2. It doesn't matter what age or race you are, no business or establishment is going to be okay with someone making money on their own property (unless there is an agreement in place or the person has secured a permit). This is a teachable moment, and I don't think anyone is actually teaching him how the real world works! I'm not hatin', I'm just being realistic knowing how obstacles are always placed in front of people who are trying to hustle/make a living.

Instead of writing a book in the comments, go teach and mentor in real life and touch the lives of those who need instruction and direction.

This is such a beautiful story. Don't be ashamed of your interest, embrace it and take every situation and turn it around. I can imagine how proud his mum is. I wonder how the school feels now, I mean a first warning would have been sufficient one would think but they needed to go the extreme and God was like wattt... He isn't doing drugs or any of the bad stuff, Angels come in here, go make Cameron BLOW....😆😆😆

Schools are so suspension crazy like have the teenage boy clean up all the hair he is cutting or simply say hey can you do this outside of school instead of during school. 🤷🏿♀️💯😶

It's a good thing he's doing what he loves to do. Now it would be good if he combed his own.
