Avoid turbocharged engines, but if you insist or already have one. Make these changes in your maintenance schedule. Please use a high grade synthetic engine oil every 3-4,000 miles, flush out your engine coolant at 35-40,000 miles. These turbocharged engines require a stricter maintenance protocol than normally aspirated engines, no matter what your dealership or owners manual tells you. You control the tempo of how your car is maintained. Take responsibility, take charge

The L15t is Honda's worst engine and they have put it in most of their cars. What a major fck up. We can only hope that they learn from this mistake and produce better engines going forward.

We don't need to go all the way back to the D series lol, K20 & K24 is already long lasting as hell. Somehow Toyota and Mazda has 2.5 L NA engines that can meet emissions regulations, yet Honda isn't doing that with their K24.

But that issue can be mitigated by increased maintenance intervals. If you’re one of those “happy go lucky” vehicle owners, avoid all gasoline turbocharged engines regardless of brand. Stick to a normally aspirated engine.
