Respect. Practically no one reviews nylon strings. Unlike poly, they never loose their elasticity, making them the best option for the 95% of players who don't hit hard enough take advantage of poly's superior spin. And what a pair you chose!! A premium multi like Velocity MLT vs. a top syn gut like Lightening is an inspired head to head. And your descriptions so beautifully showcase the differences-- YES! especially in feel-- between multis and syn guts.

Very, very helpful review! Just ordered the Prince Lightning Pro 1.30. Currently playing the Head Velocity MLT 1.40! version here in Europe and like it very much. However it's not Technifibre Biphase for instance that really is a sensation to play with even compared to Poly. I think the crispness is exactly what is missing, that "sensation when hitting clean forehands", that you mention. Very excited to test the Prince Lighting Pro. Will share my thoughts in a few weeks. What is your thought on the comparison between Prince LP, Head V MLT and Technifibre B? Btw finding a reel of Lighting Pro is just insanely hard!!!

Wow, Can't believe you don't hav millions of views!! You are the most "honest" and thorough reviewer on youtube. Compared to all the other guys (advertisers!)😠 Hope yu can advise me pleease!!: I'm changing my racket after 15 years-don't laugh! (Wilson ncode force5 280w)-because of wrist and tennis elbow. I'm thinking of buying Clash v2 strung with natural gut 40lbs tension.I am intermediate level. Great at baseline but crap volleyerer!!!....Oh and you hav a natural talent communicating with us out on that court.👍 Thanks sooo much if you can help me. Brilliant videos.🎾💥🙌💥🙌💥🙌

Thank you for your kind words! I try to be as honest as possible and I know that even if a racket or string isn't for me, there is a target audience out there that it's aimed towards. If you are intermediate-level and want something softer for your arm, I think the Clash V2 is a great choice. Full bed natural gut will definitely help your arm and the Clash plays well at lower tensions so I think that setup will work for you. I would go with the 100 sq. in. Clash if you want a little more help with volleys. Or another option is the 100L which is actually 280g unstrung so I think it would be identical to your previous racket. The 98 might be too small and the pro might be too heavy. I hope this advice was helpful to you. Good luck!

Loved Velocity. Could be a bit more spin friendly. But love how controlled for a multi, dampened, little vibration, and low end sound

I’m in my fourth year playing. I’m still learning to spin in a 16x19 racket, have no arm issues and change out my poly/syngut hybrid (@50#) every 15-20 hours.

I just switched from Velocity to Prince Premier Control, played only once but I think I like the PPC more. Are the PPC and Lightning Pro somewhat similar?

Try the mlt in black. You will prob get thr crisper feel you enjoyed in the lighting pro.

Hello OC! What colors did you use on each? Black Velocity is even more muted and dampened. And Lightning Pro also comes in a darker black like and silver, dunno how different those two are.

Run away from the black version of Head. I am a begginer, but the strings moved a lot after the first minutes.

You have to pick one of the two on each category, no matter how close they perform.

How do you compare these two multis with Wilson NXT? I’m playing with NXT and I love it, the only downside is it’s being so pricy. I’d love to know if the Head and Price are as good as NXT so that I could have more budget options. Thanks!

I haven't used NXT in a long time and frankly, I don't remember how it feels. But Prince Lightning Pro has a crisp feel for a multi. Both the Head and Prince are pretty budget friendly

@@opencourt808 Thanks for your reply. I am going to test Velocity MLT first, then Lightning Pro later. BTW is Lightning Pro multifilament, or synthetic gut as some other suggested in the comment?

How would you compare Velocity to a softer poly like Lynx Touch? Thanks!
@rayzor4368
Жыл бұрын
I've played a lot with both Lynx Touch and Velocity MLT. The Touch will give you more of a poly feel (more control, less power), and it will play stiffer (not as stiff as a full poly). I wasn't happy with the spin from the Touch (compared to Prince Velocity, Tour Bite Soft and Diadem Solstice Pro). I had to go back to my Velocity this past week due to elbow pain issues, and I did find it very buttery soft. But I'm definitely going to give the Prince Lightning Pro a try for that slightly crisp feel (and comfort).

I'm pretty sure Prince Lighting is a synthetic gut

Prince lightning pro has a unique construction. It is NOT a multi filament…at least by the most common definition of a multi. The key differences you describe can be traced back to construction…Especially the crisper feel.
