Hey BioLite! have you ever considered making a cool lighter like a fire striker with an innovative design like the Campstove? That would be so cool! (I just ordered my first Campstove 2+! )

Hi there - thank you for the support, we hope you enjoy your CampStove 2+! Fun idea on the lighter, we'll have to run it by the PD team!

We know you can charge a portable power station with a big biolight stove. Remember that stove, the big one in the beginning. Improve, impress, charge our power stations with wood.

While charging a 1500 Wh or 600 Wh power station from burning wood is not possible at this time, charging from the sun (less work, zero emissions, and daisy-chainable) is! Check out our Solar Generator Kits and SolarPanel 100 to power your station when off-grid.

All the rave reviews come from 2 day users. The elastic in the headband sucks. Useless after a few weeks.

Thanks for sharing that. I'm looking to replace the original. Admittedly it's lasted many years. Worn out elastic & battery. Fabric is falling apart as the glue broke down from sweat and stretching. Guess that I have to keep looking for something else. I've been disappointed by this company with other camping products being fragile, so I believe you.

@@savagebushranger7953 I too have a couple of other products they make. The torch is handy, but i dropped it once and it fell apart in 3 pieces. But, tbh, I managed to put it back together again. I have another, table lamp, the solar radio-lights, a solar panel, the cooker...all in case the sht hits the fan and electricity no longer comes from the grid., so not in use at the moment. The headlamp I use daily, and charge every two days. That part is great. The headband is just about gone-useless. Like the headbands of all other brand headlights. I wish they would sell a cheap replacement. May be my kind of sweat. I play acoustic guitar, and my sweat manages to dissolve the laquer on the neck...

@@BioLiteChannel Ah, I'm not going through the stress, I've genuinely been frustrated to tears over it. They're discontinued products - discontinued for a very good reason. The BaseLantern XL, I've bought three of them, plus many accessories. Now I've given up. It's recharged via micro USB. If you're living in a van like me, leaving the cable plugged in while driving risks straining the USB cable - which easily breaks the micro USB port; which was weakly SMD soldered onto the PCB board. (Fragile!) The device isn't designed to be repaired, I know this because I've opened all three of them up to salvage the parts. I also bought the KettleCharge (also discontinued!) Which had to be jump started from a USB charger when I first purchased it. Had to buy a special cable to do this. The inbuilt battery BMS must have disconnected from low voltage and wouldn't charge from stovetop heat. If I left something charging on it, without the kettle boiling, the battery would disconnect and I'd have to go through fixing it all over again. Just another half-baked idea which underdelivered on promises. The power output was really disappointing when it did actually work. Anyway, this is a normal part of throw-away capitalism. Hard to swallow the marketing about 'ecology' and protecting our environment when products don't have replacement parts available and can't be repaired.

@@gammaraygem Yep, I hear you. The thing is - I'd happily pay more for equipment which was designed to be repaired and has replacement parts available. I'm not a casual user, these devices are central to my daily life - I'm happy to spend on them. The whole SHTF scenario demands tough equipment that can be depended upon and not just thrown away to buy another. This is what happens when domestic manufacturing is sent overseas, I've been told this all my life...

Yeah I was sold on this product until that was said. I still have micro USB cables for legacy products that I already own not for new products. My Game Boy Advance SP has USB-C.

these products are so shitty. You pay a gazillion for the tech, and the headband fails in a matter of a few weeks of heavy sweating/wearing.

@@BioLiteChannel I wrote to that address. I must mention that probly not everyone has the same sweat. Mine dissolves laquer on a guitar neck, (after years, but still-none of my friends have that problem). But heed Bushrangers words here on replacement parts.
