Thanks for this. The actual documentation page from raspberrypi still says to use the empty ssh file in the boot partition. I couldn't understand why it wasn't working!!! All sorted now. Thanks again.

In 2024, still the same! Was feeling frustrated after manually doing network config and ssh on boot partition x2 wasn't working - this tutorial worked like a charm! Many thanks @lutz_ebtec

here i was flabergasted as to why my Pi Zero W was booting with an image and then stopped displaying anything. Frankly I hadn't even noticed there was a settings icon in the imager. Whoops. Thanks so much for the lifeline :)

Thanks. I think I originally forgot to set a user name so headless wasn't connecting.

Hi, when do you get this Error? During SSH Login? What Client did you use for Login? I found some one with a similar Error prompt in Ubuntu, but its a bit older, May this helps you: askubuntu.com/questions/204400/ssh-public-key-no-supported-authentication-methods-available-server-sent-publ

@@lutz4tech I used the setting in the Pi Imager for public-key authentication, but couldn't get it to work. I burned a new image with that turned off, and was able to get it set up, finally.

Nornaly it should Work Like in the Video. But May the config Change a Bit you can try this general Points Check the network connection: Ensure that both the Raspberry Pi and the computer you are connecting from are on the same network and that there is no firewall blocking the VNC connection. Check the VNC server status: Ensure that the VNC server is running on the Raspberry Pi. You can check this by logging into the Raspberry Pi and running the following command: sudo systemctl status vncserver-x11-serviced.service If the VNC server is not running, you can start it with the following command: sudo systemctl start vncserver-x11-serviced.servie Check the VNC configuration: Ensure that the VNC configuration file on the Raspberry Pi is set up correctly. You can check this by running the following command: sudo nano /etc/vnc/config.d/common.custom Ensure that the file contains the following line session=lxde

You can also just type the command 'vncserver-virtual'
