This is a nice idea, I personally myself would make that into a pace and then apply it to the lens

This helped brighten mine alot. I just got new tail lights so I figured I need better headlights. Keep in mind mine were super dirty and foggy, I made more baking soda paste and used another more. They don't look brand new or as good as a compound would do but helped for now and it was free

I clean my shower doors like this but I make a thick paste and layer it on a lot thicker. I let it set for about 20-30 minutes before wiping it off with a damp towel. You can use fresh lemon juice in place of vinegar. The soda acts as an abrasive and the vinegar or lemons are the acid that makes everything shine again.

I tried this EXACTLY the way he did in his video (the vinegar and baking soda even reacted in that bubbly/fizzy way), and after much scrubbing with a hard brush and similar grit of sand paper, my headlight lens do not look any different; I took some "before cleaning" and "after cleaning" photos which also prove that the procedure didn't work for me.

Sorry to hear that. It could have been that the headlights on my vehicle were more dirty than what you were working with and it just happened to clean the headlights on my vehicle better than it did for yours. Good to hear the feedback and have a great day!

You don't want to use sandpaper or anything like that on your headlight lens. Use either a microfiber towel, wash cloth or paper towels to rub off the oxidation. The baking soda does most of the work from the grit and chemical reaction to the vinegar. Clean the headlight lenses with Windex or another window cleaner, or with soap and water first. Then, dip the towel into the mixture getting a nice amount of baking soda on it to clean the lenses in a circular motion. May take more than one go around...use Windex or another window cleaner after wiping them with the baking soda/vinegar mix. The vinegar "lubricates" the baking soda as well, so it doesn't scratch the lenses, but removes the oxidation from it. Hope that helps some.

@@CMDZoo Musta cleared up 100 foggy headlamps. Sandpaper is *exactly* how it's done. Start with 800 grit and work my way up to 2000 grit, then polish with Meguiars plastic polish. Here's Eric O. doing a professional job: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lYtv3pxmrmiIeHo

@@CMDZoo the scratching is what i worry about. i mean baking soda is no joke and this video didn't seem to prove anything was clearer. if while cleaning you scratch them?? idk

Thank u negative Nancy. Because it’s useless to you doesn’t mean it is for everybody else. I just did this on a 2002 Monte Carlo and it worked great and then finished it off with some wax to keep it from coming back.👍
