In this video I talk about the results of my 24 Hour Holter Monitor test, which showed some sinus tachycardia (60-142bpm) as well as arrhythmia, which felt like a flutter inside my chest. I have a referral to see a cardiologist (tomorrow) so will see what he says, but the doctor suspected POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) - which is a form of dysautonomia (disorder of the autonomic nervous system).
"POTS causes the development of symptoms -- usually lightheadedness (pre-syncope), fainting (syncope) and an uncomfortable, rapid increase in heartbeat -- that come on when standing up from a reclining position and relieved by sitting or lying back down."
I also speak a little bit about my blood test results for coeliac disease, which were consistent with but not diagnostic of coeliac disease. I am yet to explore this further but can only do so much at once. I am still bloated 24/7.
I do struggle to do most things due to my health issues, so have to take things slow. In this video I build a few new pieces of flat pack furniture, which we bought to replace some of our older, mismatched furniture that no longer served a purpose in our house. It now looks a lot more put together (as you can see) with matching bedside tables in the guest room, a new dresser and a glass cabinet to fit all of our little bits and pieces.
Accompanying me throughout this video is our Green Cheek Conure, Minyip. She is very much a "velcro bird" and prefers to be with me at all times. Thankfully I am a "co-parent" of this feather baby, so Rhi will step in on weekends or when she arrives home from work to help me out. We made the decision to introduce a bird into our home knowing we would share the responsibility with each other. I have no issues taking care of her myself - but there is nothing wrong with needing assistance to take care of a pet, either. Just like a child, really. Rhi and I take Minyip with us if we visit family or go on holiday since we live in a rural location and pet sitters aren't easy to come by - especially for birds. Trust me when I say we put a lot of thought into the decision to become bird parents, and we do everything we can to ensure she has the best life possible! She is one very happy bird.
In this video I also include a few clips from our recent trip to Melbourne - where we visited Maha restaurant (middle eastern) and ate a 5 course meal! Super fancy stuff. I include a photo, but the restaurant itself was so dark it wasn't even worth attempting to film it. We enjoyed the experienced but due to the high price point (and my unknown diet restrictions), we probably won't go back. It was interesting returning to the city of Melbourne, now that it's 2022 and the we haven't been there since the pandemic started.

Towards the end of the video I also show you the yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos outside our house. They appear to be young ones and they don't stop by very often so I thought it might be a welcome sight!
