I'm an herbalist and I have seen lots of complete and awesome healing using herbs, nutrition, and common sense. I raised my two older kids 'in the system'....my third mostly 'out of the system'. We address common ailments at home, we learn at home, we grow/raise food at home. You ladies are correct...we can learn many important things without ever having letters behind our names. God bless!

I have a great quote from my dad, who was a very successful businessman, who employed hundreds of people, dispute never graduating from high school. “Don’t confuse education with intelligence.” The two of you are very knowledgeable in your areas of expertise. Keep up the good work!

I love that more and more people are seeing the importance of living a more simple life, we need all the "stuff" everyone tells us we need! We started living more simple with every thing in our lives and have never been more happy!

My Great Grandmother always said "if you have hot water and a rag then there's no excuse to not have a clean home" She instilled in us at a small age that you don't need fancy cleaners to have a clean home.

I don't mop my floors either, unless necessary which is rare. It's our house we are the ones that live in it and all that matters is that we are okay with it.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't mop all the time 😃I'm hoping to have a spot in our next house to be able to change our shoes when we come in...I think that's one of the things about cleaning the floors more often....removing the toxins we track in. But hey... a little dirt is good for the immune system too, so 🤷♀

Learned the hard way that I shouldn’t have used vinegar on my wood. 😭 but yes vinegar is what I grew up cleaning with but we never had wood table or floors so I didn’t know it strips wood. Vinegar works great for most things.

low carb, 50 or less, has worked wonders for me. True keto , 20 or under, was too much for me. i have lost on low carb when I could loose on nothing else and feel much better and do not need digestive enzymes any longer...no gurd , less swelling, so wonderful !!

Hi I’m very interested in learning about ways to heal common sicknesses at home for example ear infections and strep throat. How do you fight these at home? Also how do you know if your child has an ear infection or strep without going to the doctor? Would love a podcast episode on this or just a reply 😉 thanks!

My dad was a pharmacist. When he was in university part of his studies were to make meds with natural weed of Washington. So herbs are right up that ally. Thanks for sharing it really make a difference! My dad always had a back ache and he had thyroid issues related to exposure to radio active element in the Korean conflict. So interesting!

That's so cool she was able to get pregnant after starting keto. Congratulations! I really question if improper preparation of grains has a big effect on us, which would make since why keto and paleo show big results right away.

Thank you so much for this episode. It was more than comforting to hear your experiences with healthy living and it not being extreme. (i.e. having Oreos once in a while). It feels so burdensome when all the healthy living influencers seem to do it all perfectly but in reality not everyone can, or even wants to. Just thank you for your openness !

As far as keeping the air clean in the home, I like to have live plants and open the windows on cool days. I've heard that nowadays indoor air is actually more polluted than outdoor air, but of course that could depend on several factors like what industries are conducted nearby.

I don't understand the "Anti-Vacs" and their benefits to not having your children vaccinations. I see that your children are "Home Schooled" for the most part. When they grow up and enter the world outside of their safe home environment, how does their immune system deal with the diseases that are abound? How are they protected per say, from viruses and diseases that have been basically eradicated like polio, measles, small pox, etc.. Contagious disease. Very curious on your thoughts.

Start with the documentary Vaxxed or Vaxxed 2. There is a lot of evidence that vaccines actually destroy the immune system rather than boosting it and that indoor plumbing is actually responsible for eradicating those illnesses.
