Please do remember that chemicals are in everything. Definition of chemical is just a substance that has defined composition. Water is a chemical. And I know you’re approaching this from such a pure place and just trying to help your eczema but it’s so easy to slip in to fear mongering chemicals and people will think chemicals in general are bad. Even artificial chemicals are sometimes absolutely necessary to preserve the integrity of the product and keep it safe to use once opened.

I’m 23 and for the last 4 years have suffered immensely with Chronic health issues which led to my partner having to become my carer. It felt so comforting in a way hearing you talk about your story with your cyst and your emotions with it because I could definitely relate and I almost felt not alone. I wouldn’t wish health issues on anyone as it completely takes over your whole life so I pray your issues get resolved soon. Sending all my love xx

My mom, cousin and I all suffer from cysts and endometriosis as well as thyroid cysts from hyperactive thyroids. Have found a massive link between endo and thyroid issues. Balancing our thyroid hormones has helped the most overall.

I’ve been diagnosed with endometriosis. I have severe stomach cramping, nausea, terrible periods, many other terrible symptoms. Best thing you can do is join any and all endo groups. Also do some research on endo specialists vs a typical gyno. I unfortunately didn’t know there was a difference when I had my laparoscopy at 20, and the pain and symptoms were much worse after my lap due to cauterization instead of excision. It’s so sad there isn’t much research regarding endo especially when it’s said to affect 1 in 7 women. I feel so much for you, and I really hope you get the proper care you deserve ❤️

I remember my dermatologist telling me as a kid, if you have sensitive skin, try to stick to the one brand on your face and body as much as possible for cleansing/body wash/showering because the ingredients can all interact with each other from many different brands.

I have literally just had a really similar situation happen to me. In December I had pain & bleeding & they found a 10cm cyst! Suspected endometrioma! I was really anxious, but I had laparoscopic surgery. The cyst had burst inside so it was all cleared up. They also found endometriosis which they removed, on my both of ovaries. I got to keep my ovaries & tubes all good. Feeling very grateful. Although surgery is scary, if you get to have that then they can give you a proper check & they can take the cyst away 😊 if you don’t have surgery, hopefully the cyst will go on its own. Good luck 🤞🏼

I’ve had endometriosis since I was 12, I’m 26 next month, and ovarian cysts started for me when I had my coil fitted, and than removed a couple times then had my coil taken out and the cysts haven’t come back as I’m on the pill. I’m waiting on my 8th endometriosis surgery, was due to have it 1st May but having to postpone due to my myocarditis and needing an up to date echo scan. There’s nothing to be scared about, if you need to have surgery for it, recovery usually always goes well but make sure you always ask as many questions as possible, make a list before going in, like what if it comes back after it being removed, and how long will recovery be and so on. Xxx

Happy Mother’s Day Carys and everyone 🌸🤍💖 Carys if you do read this just make sure to keep getting it investigated I had my laparoscopy on Wednesday after 18years of suffering with pelvic pain finally got diagnosed with endo on Wednesday even though I knew myself something wasn’t right. I had more symptoms in comparison to what you have described but when it started it just felt like mild cramping/ heaviness in my pelvic area. But obviously the symptoms became more severe as the years have passed and affected my periods / ovulation. So I would just suggest to keep investigating and pestering the doctors. I hope that you don’t have endo and they can deal with it much early because its the worst pain ❤❤ praying for you & sending positive vibes

Hi Carys, as someone who has had similar symptoms as you for 8 years, I finally had my laparoscopy in May 2023 and diagnosed with not only endometriosis but also adenomyosis. This is similar to endo but where the womb lining grows into your uterine wall which is what is causing you the heaviness. Definitely worth mentioning the heaviness to your consultant. If you get pain, I have found a small investment into a tens machine (mine is called myoovi) really helps to trick the pain receptors in your brain to think the pain isn't there. All the best x

When i was pregnant a few years ago and i went for my first ultrasound and they found a large cyst outside my uterus....it lead to me losing my baby at 5 months pregnant ...then i had the cyst removed (myomectomy) later that same year. They did say I'd got another cyst on the other side, but it wasn't anything to worry about yet, but i may have to go back and get another check-up because my last period was very painful, etc.

I love Yuka! I use it often and have been for a year. I really like that one of their ground rules is that they won’t raise a product rating for money-nor will they suggest a clean alternative for profit. It definitely helps me stay away from hazardous products. But you definitely are right and that you have to take it with a grain of salt. If something is rated poorly, and it says it has heavy metals or tons of chemicals, I will stay away from it, but on the other hand, if something is rated poor for being too high in saturated fat, but I know that’s the only fat I’m having that day, I tend to ignore the apps advice. But it seems really great! I have learned a lot of hazardous chemical names, and why they are bad just from reading.

I use a similar app. The ratings measure the products ingredients for carcinogenicity, developmental & reproductive toxicity and allergies & immunotoxicities. So can help with skin issues but some products can cause major underlying long term issues, cancers, reproductive issues etc. It’s quite scary when you research some of the ingredients companies get away with putting in products.

Carys - I would suggest eating fresh beets everyday until you go to your next checkup. I was told the same thing as you and had similar symptoms and although I can’t say for sure what made the cyst go away, I want to say it was the beets. I’m Hispanic and we have weird remedies; this was just one of things I tried. Im no doctor but it’s worth a try. Beets are very good for you regardless if it works or not :) hoping/wishing the best for you! The side pain can be terrible and annoying. I get cyst routinely

I have hormonal cysts on my right ovary and in my breasts, they come and go every month. Sometimes they stay and have to be removed, that’s happened 3 times. It resulted in my right ovary no longer functioning plus I’m left with constant pain in that area. I had one burst 20 years ago when I was 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby (a baby I was told probably wasn’t possible because of the damage) and yes I agree it’s horrifically painful. I hope that they are able to help you. Xx

Carys I have used it is very good obviously it’s still just a guideline as even the ones rated excellent / good can still have toxic ingredients but just a lot less/minimal. So just use it as a guide but also it might help you clock symptoms even with good products and you might narrow down specific flares. Also I completely understand your endo issues I got diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia cancer cells and have had 6/7 biopsies high have actually caused me to have endometriosis pain due to the biopsy causing scar tissue. I’m still having issues and pain especially on time of the month and ovulation. So if you use an app like flo or natural cycles you might start to also link flare ups. Evening primrose oil and things like adding cinnamon into foods and raspberry leaf tea and pomegranate tea and whole cranberry juice help with everything. Someone mentioned beets and basically any dark red fruit/ veg help move blood which is why it helps with pain. Wishing you the best. ❤

I found out that I had endometrioma cysts on each ovary in 2020 but because I have no bad symptoms and my CA125 has stayed stable I havent needed an op. Although I've had to take the mini pill to stop them getting any bigger as they are quite big. I think my gynaecologist is hesitant to operate because my womb is stuck to my bowel. I previously always had pain during my periods when going to the toilet that's the only symptom thankfully oh and bloating. I do get the odd throbing ache which I worry it's gonna pop. 😩 I use yuka too I scan everything 😂

Cary’s just a heads up, could your eczema be linked to endometriosis!! I watched Dr Emma a private dermatologist on a skin doctor program and there was a lady with really bad eczema and they said it was linked to hormones as she had endometriosis. They gave her medication for endometriosis and treatment for eczema and it really improved. Might be worth watching program. Also bought your journey as having a bad time this year and it is great for focusing what I do makes me feel good or bad. Hope eczema improves soon. Sue x

You should have your doctor test for hashimotos disease. It’s a hypothyroidism disease and you literally have almost every symptom it causes from endometriosis, eczema, the rash, chapped lips plus so much more. I have it and everything you have been going through sounds so similar to all my symptoms. Gluten and dairy are a huge trigger for flair ups. There are so many days I woke up with swollen eye lids and a swollen face and all I wanted to do was put a cold compress all over my face. I figured I would pass on something I had to beg my doctor to check for because for some reason doctors have to be pushed to check for this disease but it’s so common in young females. Or eliminate dairy and gluten and see how it makes you feel

Great video loved all the topics, sorry about the possible Endometriosis hope you can get the support you need and the medical help. So excited for your move and to see how the new home adventure turns out. When you bought your current home you alwats said it may not be the forever home as you gad so many converstion plans that didnt always go to plan the ones you dud do were great but obviously no home is truly scrutinized until youve lived in it. Plus the girls may need different arrangements for room sizes as they age and only you know how you as a family use your home space and what work requires you to gave that your current home doesn't cater for. So wishing you alot of success in the morning ce and understand that so much of your lives you keep private and you always have. Been watching so long now its like ive seen your lives change so much watching you and james mature and then mila and then the babies its been alot and your business adventures and merchandise has taken different turns over the years fromthe early days of YAE to your homeware and clothes lines. As a cosmetic chemist these apps really upset me. They are the reason that perfectly safe ingredients are being dragged in the media. For example, parabens are being dragged as bad when these are the best preservatives for your cosmetic products and now not using them your cosmetic products are now more susceptible to bad microbial growth. But because of the media, cosmetic companies are avoiding them to ensure their product sells. I love you and your family Carys so this not hate but to educate you ❤
