This video shows how to make granola using an oven and also frying method.
Each method is very easy to follow and one thing you’ll need to bear in mind is that you’ll want to keep turning the oats until they are golden brown and not burnt.
If you’re using the oven method, do well to bake at medium heat and also try to open the oven for the first time after 15mins of the initial baking time.
Consequently, you can keep an eye on it every 5mins just to avoid it getting burnt. Remember to always turn the oats at intervals to ensure even baking.
Ingredients
4cups old fashioned oats
1/2cup cashew nuts
1/4 cup almond ( you can half it)
1tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 salt
Wet ingredients
1/2 cup oil (coconut or veg. Oil)
1/3 cup honey or 1/4 cup sugar
1tsp vanilla
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
In another bowl, mix in the honey, oil and vanilla extract together. Be sure to give it a good stir before adding to the dry ingredients.
Mix both the dry and wet ingredients properly and transfer to a lined baking pan or a frying pan.
Bake or fry until golden brown. Stir occasionally until browned.
