Outdoor Grilling | Grilled Chicken Shawarma | Grilled Vegetables | Homemade Tzatziki Sauce
Amazingly delicious grilled chicken Shawarma with freshly homemade Tzatziki sauce served with grilled vegetables. Outdoor grilling recipe. Perfect for summer grilling menu.
INGREDIENTS:
2.2 lbs (1kg) Chicken, legs and thighs, skinless
3 tsp Shawarma spice blend
2 Tbs Plain yogurt
2 Tbs Garlic paste
3 Tbs Olive oil
1 Tbs Sumac
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Cinnamon powder
½ tsp Turmeric powder
Lemon juice from 1 lemon
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine all the spices / seasonings. Then mix them well.
Marinate the chicken with all the marinade and keep it in refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
Note: if you have time, refrigerate the marinated chicken for 24 hours for best results.
Grill the chicken, both sides, until well done. Serve Tzatziki sauce and grilled vegetables.
Grilled Vegetables:
1 bunch asparagus
1 zucchini, sliced
1 yellow squash, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
10 cherry tomatoes
2 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs garlic powder
1 Tbs onion powder
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Tzatziki sauce:
1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
1 Tbs Tahini Sauce
½ Cucumber
1 clove Garlic, minced
½ Tbs mint leaves, chopped
¼ Lemon juice
Salt
Black pepper
