Best vlog I have watched of the stunning Heaphy Track! I was thinking how much work you put in planting and retrieving the camera, then the clips at the end were exactly what I was imagining!! 😁👌🏽🌿 I love the quality of the filming, both technical and artistic, and the editing is excellent. Well done from a new subscriber. ❤️ I am planning on doing this track soon.

Thanks for that lovely message! Made my day ☺️. Dealing with the camera is especially tricky in wind and weather when it needs to go quick. Have fun on the Heaphy, chances are good the weather will be better for you!

Thank you, I appreciate your words. 40 years is a while. Has the walk changed since then?

@@JulianOes No worries, I walked it when I was about 23 I think. It was pretty rough back then. Its a pity that you didnt have nicer weather as it really is quite beautiful when the sun is out...cheers.

@@drumsandstix128 Ah, that would have been challenging then. Yes I bet it would be lovely in good weather. However, I found the weather really spectacular, and I wouldn't want to trade the memory with anything, I think. Maybe some day I'll walk it again, light, in two or three days. We'll see.

@@JulianOes Sorry I just saw your question, well we did it from the South to the North and yes it was rough, the first walk was just along the beach, that was really hard as your boots would just sink into the sand and there was a hut at the river mouth. The Gouland Downs was just water crossings and soon after we were there a woman drowned . They put bridges across everything after that. We did it in 3 and a half days I think and loved it!

@@drumsandstix128 Oh wow! That's tough through the sand, and without bridges!

Lovely, well made film, stunning scenery. Music complements and doesn't distract. Loved the end bits.
