I agree. He has to be capable to be there and I would like to hear more of what he has to say. Not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera. Perhaps a one-on-one interview format in an comfortable environment would loosen him up with him answering sent-in questions instead of being live.

Ha! Did I hear that right? Wall of Voodoo? I heard them on a Mexican radio, and they were great! And I saw them live way back when, and they were great! They played Mexican Radio again for their encore cuz they didn’t have any other songs to play. The strobe light had me mesmerized.

You guys are awesome. I love these videos to get to know your process and priorities. Towards the end of the interview there was question about a dedicated SYS styled bass management device that could be added into a Schiit stack… I’d really appreciate having a Schiit option for that. Maybe it has a basic crossover select knob on it, a crossover bypass switch so it turns off crossover filters. Just line level outputs would be perfect... A device like that would be awesome. It’s hard to find anything quality in the market filling that need, and I’m positive a Schiit version of it would be a treat and a great addition to the Aegir with some sensitive monitors than could use a sub for backup.

I heard Jason say that no one wanted the Mjolnir. That’s a bummer. I did and missed out initially but got lucky and bought a closeout build from Schiit in early 2021. I want to thank Schiit Audio and Jason for making it. I love it. Had Moon Audio build a Black Dragon cable with dual 3-pin XLR connectors for my Audeze LCD-XC. I use it with a Bifrost 2/64 or my Oppo’s DAC and a Sys to watch 4K movies in the evening. I love movie sound tracks but my wife hates the bass and loud noises. It blows the headphone output of any AVR away. Thanks!!

For all the people who use speaker-level outputs to connect their subwoofer(s), an analog hi-pass/lo-pass external filter would be incredible. Really anyone who utilizes subwoofers in their 2-channel setup with an amp/integrated that has no bass management (a huge percentage of folks) would definitely benefit from a product like these. I’d look into the technical feasibility of it and try to make it work out.

YES! regular volume controls with a stop at both ends as long as they have audio taper. a low/high sensitivity switch so one can be in the roughly between 12 and 5 o'clock positions is preferable. that would accommodate low to high sensitivity speakers. ...hifitommy

Yep crazy, class D and tone controls would have 0 market over your DAC's, or headphone amps. I have seen people's systems from 150 bucks to 30k use your DAC's in there systems and people off all income levels use your headphone amps. A Schiit based R2R or tube DAC would fly off the shelf! You would take a huge chunk of the chifi market back. I see people going from Schiit to Denafrips, Holomay ALL the time. Or even a tube based phono preamp.

@@kyron42 Class D just sound like A$$, subwoofers is 100% marketing bable. If class D was good it had already been build by Schiit because it is soooo simple. But it doesn't sound good at all. Have heard several by the best Bruno Putseyz. It is nothing for HiFi, only for convenience. Is that better?

Unpredictable is exactly right on parts. Nothing wrong with Class D. It is a matter of the direction you want to go. To have a bias that stays in one topology is silly today. I am old, but even I get how good Class D is getting. I grew up with AB and A as well. It is a matter of going after bandwidth instead of just watts. Watts do not always a full presentation the watts make. I agree near field monitors are noisier than they need to be. Class D is not free in the area of redirecting the noise. A royal PITA. I run all Class A A/B amplifiers, but if someone gets it together on Class D, then I would revisit it. I still have a couple of Crown XLS1002 project amplifiers. Best working product I have ever had. It isn't whether it is new or old necessarily it is about implementation. I love that Schiit never puts the power button on the back of components. Why? Kind of a stupid place to put it. You talk about an interface. Get the power switch right first. Other than that I agree what Jason is saying. I am restoring a TEAC A-7300 and it has a great interface. Looks bitchin' and sounds bitchin'. Not so excited about DACs. Kind of DAC'd out. Everything else is a wait and see. Choice is off the chain everywhere. It is easy to get what you want. No right or wrong. Do what you want. Your money, your ears, your soul. Product burnout? Yeah I am feeling it. New under the sun is not as exciting, as something well done and leave it alone.

The crown class D/ drive core isn't great. It modulates noise. This manifests itself in a vague, and rolled off treble, the weakness of most class D at this point. If you can't hear it or hate accurate treble, enjoy it.
