A hearing loop, or audio induction loop, is an assistive listening technology for individuals with hearing loss. Hearing loops create electromagnetic signals that send audio wirelessly to telecoil-equipped hearing aids. A hearing loop consists of an induction cable, which is looped around a room, and an induction loop amplifier, which amplifies an audio signal and sends it through the cable loop. Hearing loops are often found in public spaces like churches, libraries, auditoriums, and meeting rooms.
