I haven’t stopped listening to this album since I was 11 when I got it in 1986 after the self titled album, and have been hooked ever cents. Especially when the lossless version remastered for iTunes was released. It sounds so amazing. The original CD pressing was very brittle and cold. Why don’t people understand that this is a masterpiece of an album and I think even a concept album

Wow-- really awesome to see this video! I didn't even know it existed. I don't think it's a great video, but it's a fascinating timepiece-- a sort of reminder of that awkward phase Heart had as they transitioned from the 1970s to their full-on '80s incarnation. =Compare this to their ultra-slick later videos (What About Love, Never, These Dreams, Alone), and you see the improvement: by the time they shot those later videos, they were total pros-- really knew how to play for the camera.

@@dampergoldenrod4156 City's Burning actually got a good deal of FM rock radio airply, and it hit 15 on Billboard's Rock chart. Rocking Heaven Down came out before Billboard had a mainstream rock chart; I agree it should have gotten more airplay, IMO it's the best song on that album. The band was actually doing pretty well through Bebe Le Strange and Greatest Hit's LIve. It was 1981 after "Tell it Like it Is" hit the Top 10 that they really had the decline. There was a period in 1982 and 1983 that they were really uncool and viewed as a dinosaur band, but they smartly remade themselves in 1985. I don't care how much Ann bitches about that time, it was the smartest thing they could have done. They wouldn't be in the Hall of Fame if they hadn't done the hair metal thing and gained that popularity. Some of that music has dated badly, but much of it like If Looks Could Kill and Alone are still great to listen to. In fact that whole self-titled album is still a good listen. I think Bad Animals is somewhat dated except for Alone and the title cut, but Brigade still sounds great too.

Nope. Music Video may have been a nascent art form, but even for 1982, this music video was bad, bad, bad. Look into it- you'll find plenty of good vids from that year. I'm a Heart fan. I saw them often in their prime rock years (when Roger Fisher still played with them) and a few times after Fossen took over electric duties. There are live performances on tape and film from those days where their charisma and professionalism shine through- they were great. They are just plain awful in this video, and it plays as if it were made by a Cable Access show.

It's a terrible video, but so were 99% of the others out at that time. Regardless of what you say, this video production and quality was a sign of the times. The later, quality Heart videos from the mid 80s and later were also a sign of their times.

Sitt‘n here watchin‘ this, dreamin‘ the evening away, feelin‘ my self back in those days... In a time where human beings were proud, selfconcious, optimistic and - free... They didn‘t think about whether it‘s right or wrong - they just did it! Whithout thinkin‘ too much, just with their heart and their soul... And nowadays more than ever this kind of music, this certain kind of style brings us back in time to our childhood and youth where the world was allright and the music was sincere. Just compare this with the music nowadays. Just compare the feelings - your feelings - and the passion in the songs. And when you‘re done you‘ll probably and hopefully find a feelin‘ of magnificance, pure pleasure and deep happiness...
