On November 8, 2020, the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera, Alabama hosted approximately 25 photographers for a special freight train operating over their approximately six miles of track between the depot in Calera and Springs Junction. Powering the train were the museum's two ex. U.S. Army EMD SW8 diesels 2019 and 2022, with a guest appearance by Birmingham Southern Alco HH900 No. 82, the only surviving HH900 and the oldest surviving turbocharged diesel locomotive.
Join us as we spend an unusually warm November day shooting this special train on the Calera & Shelby Railroad!
