I saw someone say once that Ann wore that big heavy coat to cover the massive brass balls it takes to cover THAT song with Zeppelin watching. And then, to knock it out of the park like that. 😳

Jason Bonham you know he made is father proud, and not just by using his father John Bonham's drums, but also wearing his dad's hat. I'm glad they had the the back up singers wearing a copies of the hat also. I have seen Heart ❤in concert and they are awesome. The sisters have been friends with Led Zeppelin since the 60s and they are still great friends now. They couldn't have picked a better group to honor them. Much love to you and your family. Thank you. 😊

Oh my, I got so excited see you had this up. It's even more than a cover. It's a spectacular tribute from legends to legends. Ann and Nancy are outstanding. There are no words. Ann's voice is powerful heaven. I'm emotional just watching Robert Plant being emotional - I think partly because of the magnificence of the performance, and partly because their late drummer's son, Jason Bonham is playing the drums for this, and is wearing a bowler hat; his father's trademark. I can't get over Jimmy Page's exuberance. OMG, the quality is indescribable. I screamed the first time I heard the large choir (with the bowler hats) being revealed. Still get goosebumps, even when I know it's coming. You are right about the significance of the award. This is truly a monumental honor.

Saw this when it aired in 2012. Lenny Kravitz, Kidd Rock, Foo Fighters along with Heart and MC Jack Black all front and center for this show. ❤❤👍🏽 Jason Bonham was kept quiet as a surprise, hence Plants extreme emotional response. 🥺 Props to Shayne Fontayne slaying his 🎸, Jimmy seemed to enjoy!! 😎 Ann and Nancy have worked with both JPJ and Jason Bonham. Heavily influenced by Zep, and vocal about it, Heart will often close or include LZ in their show. Yep, rereleased Little Queen with STH on it. The boller hat on Jason was his dad's. The boller on the choir...Bonzo was present and Plant responded. Best tribute ever, Goddesses honoring Rock Royalty, doesn't get much better. ❤👍🏽

Sometimes Ann and Nancy perform with Jason Bonham, there is a video out there of a live concert, I believe in New Jersey the summer after the Kennedy Center Honors when they did their version of Kashmir. That’s another Led Zeppelin song they cover and it’s astounding and worth reacting too. You did a very good job, you had obviously researched this performance before posting your reaction and were really well informed. It’s also mind blowing when you consider Ann was 62 and Nancy 58 when they did this performance. The guys came and found Ann and Nancy afterwards and told them how much they enjoyed it and Robert Plant said normally he doesn’t enjoy covers of Stairway, but he really liked their version. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were equally complimentary.

Chad, I would be hard pressed to try an estimate how many times I've watched/listened to this and yet I'm STILL excited every time! It has to be THE BEST cover of a song ever performed! They did a wonderful job… Robert Plant never likes anyone doing this song. The drummer John Bonham is no longer with us, his son is playing the drums and the reason behind the hat. He always wore that style of hat.

A very professional reaction, thanks for showing us this wonderful performance using full screen presentation. The audio balance between your reaction and the performance was perfect. A great performance. Everything was perfectly balanced, the orchestration, the choruses, the guitars (solo), singing, percussion, and Jimmy Page's reaction, Worthy of the standing ovation. Keep up the wonderful work Chad. You know Barack Obama was president when this was performed, presidents were invited to the Kennedy Center Honors, only President Trump refused to attend.

Chad, I'm so happy to see this song here. I know good and well that you know the original of this song. It would be impossible for someone of your age not to have heard it at least once. I mean, it's on the top of so many lists as being the best rock song ever made. But forget the celebrities in the audience. Forget then-president Obama and his wife in the balcony. This performance was done for the benefit of three men -- the men who created this masterpiece. And a special tribute paid to the one band member who could not be there, by having his son on the drums. Truly magnificent performance by one of the few groups who could do that song justice. But, in the end, it's not my reaction or that of anyone else that matters. It's that broad smile on Page's face, the tears in Plant's eyes, their obvious enjoyment, that matters. They were so moved. And so this genuine tribute did what it was intended to do. This performance sends chills down my spine every time I see it.

Coming back to this reaction I don't know where did my initial comment go. Anyway, this is an awesome performance and tribute and I don't think anybody else can do justice to this classic. Rock is not my thing but there are some of Led Zeppelin songs that are astonishing good. I'm going to recommend my favorites but keep in mind that it's better to listen to the studio versions since the improvisations on live performances become very extensive, and the essence appears in the original songs, just my opinion. 'Immigrant Song', 'Black dog', 'Over the hills and far away', 'Hey, Hey, What can I do?', 'Good times Bad times' and those that you definitely need to react to the song live are 'Kashmir' kzitem.info/news/bejne/yY2VvYCurJeiY6Q and of course 'Stairway to Heaven' kzitem.info/news/bejne/ra9swJyHj6CHoqw Sure you will enjoy all of them!!
