To be fair I think it's easier to stop stressing out about turning 30 if you’ve had kids, it's biological. I'm 29, single and freaking out internally lol

OG here, From "Beauty Crush" days wing eyeliner tutorial and OOTD plus more. I love this seriously. Watching grown and become the beautiful woman that you are. Stunning. Its like 90's kids growing with our shows the rugrats, boy meets world. We're all aging together 30's are fun I'm enjoying it. Mom of 4 here.

I’m 29, turning 30 august 11th. I’m not planning anything big. Just celebrating with my man. I’m happy to be alive, healthy, happy, in a great place career wise, with a couple of good people who love me. I could care less about a number. Some of us don’t even make it to 30.

I am also turning 30 but on January 1st. I likely won’t have any kind of party and will probably spend it alone. It’s just a number, and it’s just a day 🩷

i am so here for this conversation :) As a person who has been watching you since wow maybe 2010, and now I am 31 turning 32 this year. I am feeling lost in the matrix lol however I will say I have only been in my thirties for almost two years and it is topping my twenties all together! I feel like I have evolved, and I am learning myself so much better... and I also stopped celebrating birthdays. I look at it as each year is a blessing to still be here, and I am going to enjoy every minute of it without cultural traditions.

feels good to hear you say that about not focusing on men in your 20s. i'm feeling the opposite a bit because i'm 30 now and have never dated anyone so i feel a bit weird about that. but i've never felt like i have to be in a relationship. like i don't know how other people do it but for me, being single is the only thing i know so it's what feels the most normal/natural if that makes sense.

I’m in the same boat but got in a situationship first one at 29. I’m now 30. Do you worry about the biological clock thing? Do you want kids? I don’t find many people like me so
@brunett93

@@xoxjelloxox i do a little bit but i'm mostly leaning towards not having kids so it isn't a huge worry. i am worried that i'm going to regret not having kids in the future though. but having kids when you don't feel completely sure about it doesn't seem great so yeah i don't know... it's tricky.

Sam, I would love if you did a girl talk that focuses on de-centering men and redirecting that energy into friendships/self. I am currently transitioning through a separation, and that perspective of de-centering men was so refreshing and true. I find myself being plagued with thoughts of putting myself out there again, and what that looks likes/feels like. Honestly though, it is so much more exciting to imagine how in the next year I can focus and love on myself primarily. Thank you sharing your thoughts 🤍it has healed my heart a bit.
