I can’t tell you home much I needed this track and it just showed up tonight as a recommendation. With Mom on Hospice and my brother passing recently at the young age of 41…..man this is therapy. This one hits deep and your solo was heartfelt. Appreciate you brother.

I know I’m going to keep coming back to this one again and again. The progression is gorgeous and the instrumentation is great. It feels full while leaving room for lead melody and solo work to shine through. Side note: I’ve been having fun playing Bmajor runs over the Bm at the end of the first line of the “B section”. Luckily, the minor 3rd isn’t very strong in the mix, but it would be cool as a B5 to keep it ambiguous and have the option. Either way, this thing is glorious. Also, I’ve been enjoying some diminished action (as in my one diminished run) on the F#11, as well as switching it up with some Phrygian Dominant in that spot.

You probably already got it, but you can play A# note in your lead over F# chord, because A# is major 3rd of F# chord thus will sound good. It also creates very pleasing tension-release as it is just one semitone away from the root.
