@Nigga Nigga Eh, they must be good in some ways if the Germans found the incentive to copy them. The Gewehr 43's development was helped by a plethora of captured SVT-40. Soviet AT rifles were the factor that compelled the Germans to develop armoured side skirts. It also seems the Germans preferred PPSh-41s over their own MPs. And of course, a gun will kill you regardless of how shodily made it is. Additionally, the quality of weapons tends to plummet when your factories are being bombed and invaded, as was the case with the Germans and Japanese as well. Then again, I'm arguing with someone who's name is a racial slur...

@Nigga Nigga Bad tanks? T-34 is the best tank engineering wise. It's only downside is it's rushed production which gave room for a lot of poor armor and other faults. In those factories mostly worked women and children. They were invaded and unlike the USA who was on the other side of the map, they had to rush everything. You people never take that into account. There is a HUGE difference between producing equipment in safe lands and lands that are attacked... Same with Germany, they had good tanks but each day they lose land which means unsafe conditions for the workers, they are experiencing stress. It means poor materials and lack of fuel.

This music actually sounds like the Eastern front itself,in the begging its desperate defense, but then it settles down, gains momentum, just like USSR gained strength, and blasts again,as push west starts, reaches former Soviet borders, and continues towards Berlin. I like it.

Whenever I listen to this song I think about all the Soviet Soldiers bravely marching out to the front to defend the Motherland. The Soviets were Slavs, and they knew that the Germans were exterminating them. Each and every soldier knew that if they didn't fight their friends, family, loved ones, and neighbours alike will be sent out to be killed in death camps. With this factor in mind, I find it sad that many westerners only talk about the struggle on the Western Front or the Pacific front and not talk about the Eastern Front. In my opinion, the Eastern Front and the Chinese Front are the best fronts during the war in terms of heroism and patriotism. On the fields of Russia you have countrymen, defending their home and the lives of everyone they know and on the east you'll find Communists and Nationalists uniting against an enemy who will exterminate or enslave them if they win.

85% of German casualties in ww2 are from the eastern front. In fact, the Germans suffered more casualties in taking one building in Stalingrad than the invasion of France.

Corrections 1: it was 80% 2: they took more casualties capturing that one house then they took on their push towards Paris. Which is still mind-blowing for me.

With friends? France was gone, UK was fighting in air and sea but not on land, Yanks didn't do anything against Nazis until they were beaten. Nazis lost in late 1942 or early 1943 and after that it was just a matter of time. Soviets got raped, survived it nearly alone, and suckerpunched Hitler nearly alone.

Let us all honor soldiers. The Greeks held out longer than all the countries that fell combined. They resisted the enemy until the Germans captured Crete. The Soviet soldiers held out in Stalingrad against German bombings and in Leningrad against combined German and Finnish soldiers. Americans,British,French,Canadians,Australians,Greeks fought bravely during D-Day(One of my ancestors was there and sacraficed himself for the rest of his squad).

But an old enemy has returned to its backstabbing ways. Japan and its puppets resist the workers revolution in China. The Rising Sun is plunging its dagger into our exposed Eastern lands. The Soviet Union stands alone against imperialism. We can rely on no one. We shall defeat the Japanese as we have defeated the Germans. The Soviet workers are unconquered. We are unconquerable. If we must win this next war alone, we shall do that, too.

Order No. 227 (Russian: Приказ № 227, romanized: Prikaz No. 227) was an order issued on 28 July 1942 by Joseph Stalin, who was acting as the People's Commissar of Defence. It is known for its line "Not a step back!" (Ни шагу назад!, Ni shagu nazad!),[1] which became the primary slogan of the Soviet press in summer 1942.[2] Order No. 227 established that each front must create one to three penal battalions (Russian: штрафной батальон, romanized: shtrafnoy batalyon, lit. 'penalty battalion', commonly known as штрафбат, shtrafbat) of up to 800 middle-ranking commanders and high-ranking commanders accused of disciplinary problems, which were sent to the most dangerous sections of the front lines.[3] From 1942 to 1945, a total of 422,700 Red Army personnel were sentenced to penal battalions as a result of courts-martial.[4] The order also directed that each army must create "blocking detachments" at the rear that would shoot "panic-mongers and cowards".[2]In the first three months, blocking detachments shot 1,000 penal troops and sent 24,000 to penal battalions.[5] By October 1942, the idea of regular blocking detachments was unofficially dropped.[2][6] Intended to galvanise the morale of the hard-pressed Red Army and emphasize patriotism, it had a generally detrimental effect and was not consistently implemented by commanders who viewed diverting troops to create blocking detachments as a waste of manpower. On 29 October 1944, blocking detachments were officially disbanded by Stalin's order No. 349 citing the changed situation at the front.
