I love how you actually noticed that Charlie's behaviors seemed very obsessive compulsive. In hindsight it was kinda obvious, but I didn't realize notice until later

I was already crying when Charlie was reading his letter to his parents, but panning to Tori made me bawl. She has been so worried and so supportive. Joe has absolutely nailed it this season.

Liam and Heartstopper... a splendid combination, once again. One of the things I love about the show is how much respect it gives to these young people by showing them as complex, aware, caring people... while also not stripping them of the fluctuations in feeling and mood and impulse that is just plain human but also particularly characteristic of young people. It neither mythologizes them nor patronizes them, which is a rather difficult trick to pull off, I think Good on you for clocking Darcy's journey with gender. I have such affection for Darcy. Tao and Darcy get a lot of feedback for being "a lot," I find - particularly in the fandom in general - which I deeply relate to, so seeing them get to be "a lot" while also evolving as people and coming into their own and being loved and cared for thoroughout by the Heartstopper crew just always causes me to overflow with empathy for them. And I appreciate you always being, as you said, an ardent Tao defender. Mr. Ajayi and Mr. Farouk together are maybe the cutest thing on the face of the earth. The chemistry the actors portray is out of this world and way beyond anything just on the page. If This show ever got a spinoff, which I realize isn't in the cards probably, Mr. Ajayi and Mr. Farouk are my pick for that. I'd love to see much more about their lives beyond the range we see when they're interconnected with their students. I agree also that it's a delight that we are getting so much more Isaac and that he's coming into his own. I also thought the same thing at the zoo, that they should have invited James along too. I really love Isaac's friendship with James and I'd love to see the friend group pull James into their situation more in particular cuz even though Isaac and James aren't and won't be a couple, it'd be lovely for their buddy-ship to be thought of and invited into the friend group a bit. Charlie's dad is splendid. The way his actor was covering his mouth when his son was sharing his discovery of his eating disorder just shattered me. That physical expression of vulnerability somehow cut thru me and I went from crying to CRYING right then. As always, it was lovely to get to ride along as you reacted to this deeply vulnerable episode. I appreciate what you do here (sorry for all the rambling here) . Liked and shared.

Probably my fave episode of the season. As someone who also wrote down my issues and gave them to my mum when I was a teen it really got to me 😢

[comments are off on ep 4, but] just wanted to say that i'm doing mid terms at the moment, and being able to watch your heartstopper reactions, like i did with s1 when i was a less stressed person, is super comforting

Amazing reaction! To answer your question, no, we are not okay after that one. But as you say in the discussion, it’s handled so well. And thank fuck for Ms. Singh breaking the tension in that moment. I actually guffawed at that!
